Your New Role

The Manager will lead and execute daily activities supporting the WBD Global Streaming Finance team, including preparing, reviewing, and presenting accurate, timely, and relevant financial forecasts and analyses. This role will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of various international finance teams in preparing weekly pacing updates, monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans, as well as conducting ad hoc analyses. Additionally, this role will be relied upon to provide stakeholder support across the streaming organization, as well as WBD corporate, synthesizing business results for executive leadership to inform decision-making and steer global planning. It will also develop business analyses that will inform the development and execution of subscriber acquisition and retention initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical problem-solver who thrives in a constantly changing business environment, capable of juggling competing priorities, and approaches stakeholders with a client-service mindset. A successful candidate will be a self-starter with a knack for anticipating business needs and be able to work collaboratively across multiple international teams, with an eye for process improvement.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support the monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning processes for the US Max subscription business
  • Act as a project manager to coordinate the efforts of finance teams across the globe in the preparation of weekly pacing, monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Marketing, Content, Product, Distribution, Strategy, Investor Relations, and Corporate Finance in developing ad hoc analyses in the evaluation of potential business initiatives to grow subscription revenues
  • Track key business metrics and prepare weekly insights and subscriber pacing to keep management informed of current trends and performance
  • Prepare executive-level presentation materials that effectively communicate forecasting results & assumptions, business performance, and scenario analyses to be presented to leadership

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a FP&A role, preferably within a media & entertainment or tech company, investment banking or consulting
  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Engineering, Accounting or Economics
  • MBA preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with experience in constructing complex financial models and developing data-driven analysis
  • Deep understanding of subscription business models
  • Proficient slide work skills with a knack for synthesizing large amounts of information into clear and concise executive-level presentations
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort in coordinating across multiple finance teams around the globe
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile projects and comfortable working without guidance in a fast-paced, project/deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to distill complex matters for an executive-level audience
  • Deep understanding of subscription business models
  • Knowledge and passion for Media/Entertainment industry
  • Understanding of SVOD/Direct-to-Consumer business models
  • Experience with Looker, Databricks, SQL, or Python

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,200.00 - $176,800.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
