Your New Role...
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is searching for a Manager, Employee Connection, EMEA to join the Global Business Services (GBS) People & Culture (P&C) Operations team. This role will be responsible for building and managing WBD's P&C Employee Connection team members based in Warsaw who support People & Culture (P&C) Services and (P&C) Partners in EMEA with position and employee data management, employee queries and other lifecycle events. This Manager role oversees day-to-day processes, recommends and builds processes as part of the continuous improvement journey, participates as a subject matter expert in meetings and on special projects around EC, and assists internal and external clients and P&C Partners with questions and concerns.
The Employee Connection teams are the primary data owners of employee data in Workday HCM. The team processes transactions for HR employee data such as position management, hires, rate changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, and data corrections in our Workday HCM or another local systems, audits and analyzes data to maintain data quality and ensure data accuracy. They are the system and process experts as it pertains to employee data and transactions for the markets they support. These teams also regularly interact with employees to support and address their P&C Services-related requests, with a customer-centric focus, delivering a best-in-class employee experience.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Team Leadership & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day Employee Connection (EC) operations in Warsaw, ensuring service delivery meets defined SLAs and employee experience standards.
- Set and align individual and team goals with global P&C Operations and WBD strategic priorities.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to support performance, development, and engagement.
- Conduct regular team meetings to drive process alignment, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Cross-Regional and Global Collaboration
- Serve as primary support for P&C teams across Europe; provide secondary support to UK, LATAM, US, and APAC regions.
- Collaborate with global GBS P&C Operations leads (India, Mexico, Poland, US) to align on processes, tools, and performance objectives.
Data Quality & Compliance
- Oversee audits and analysis of HR data for accuracy and completeness; manage monthly and ad-hoc reporting for business and P&C stakeholders.
- Ensure team adherence to data privacy regulations, SOX requirements, and internal controls; lead responses to audits and inspections.
Process & System Governance
- Partner with tech teams to troubleshoot Workday and ServiceNow issues and support enhancement requests.
- Make decisions or recommendations on HCM system configurations, ensuring alignment with global standards and local requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, lead or support change management and documentation efforts.
Case & Escalation Management
- Act as point of escalation for complex or sensitive HR cases; advise P&C teams on downstream impacts of HR data changes.
- Manage correction of HR records from internal audits or field submissions; liaise with P&C to ensure alignment across data touchpoints (e.g., payroll, benefits, accruals).
Project & Initiative Leadership
- Represent the EMEA Employee Connection team in global projects, system rollouts, or organizational initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, resource prioritization, and coordination of project-based tasks.
Performance Management
- Conduct formal performance reviews, providing feedback aligned to business goals and personal development plans.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and employee engagement within the team.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Experience: Minimum 5 years Human Resources administrative or related experience required, preferably with supervisory responsibilities from a global shared services environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use confidential information appropriately.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience required.
- Language Requirements: Must be fluent in English and Polish, fluency in other European languages strongly preferred, namely French, German, Spanish, Italian or Dutch (others a plus, but not preferred).
- Technical Skills: Experience with Workday HR/payroll or other SaaS payroll tools preferred (SAP or PeopleSoft), including EIB data loads. Experience with case management tools such as Service now preferred. Strong skills required with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Relationship Management: Strong relationship skills. Experienced in building and maintaining effective collaborations. Recognized for reliability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
- Process Management: Skilled in process improvements and problem solving, taking initiative to own work projects/tasks. Ability to manage ad hoc high-volume activities in a fast-paced environment independently.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, time management, prioritization, and follow-up skills. Has strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly at all levels and in English. Must have flexible and adaptable attitude to cope with fast changing and complex environment
- Global Perspective: International experience is required, specifically in a role supporting Europe, along with willingness and ability to occasionally travel.
- Leadership Presence: Demonstrates ability to coach and develop team supervisors and specialists and create a strong employee culture.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
