Your New Role...

The Lead, Social Publishing is responsible for managing the day-to-day publishing operations across the official DC social and YouTube channel ecosystem - including brand-level accounts (e.g., @DCOfficial) and iconic character accounts (e.g., Superman, Batman). Reporting to the Director, Social Programming & Strategy and working directly with agencies and key internal partners this role executes daily content scheduling, QA, and delivery across priority platforms. The Lead also provides mentorship and guidance to junior publishing staff and ensures content meets platform, brand, and campaign standards. This is a key operational role that contributes to channel health, content accuracy, and engagement with DC's millions of global fans through thoughtful packaging best-in-class publishing practices and reading of fan sentiment.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Manage daily scheduling, QA, insights requests, and publishing of content across franchise social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, etc.).
  • Own execution of real-time publishing and post updates during campaign beats, tentpole moments, and platform-specific activations.
  • Partner with social programming and strategy leads, and creative teams to ensure content maintains franchise TOV and aligns with platform best practices and publishing timelines.
  • Collaborate with Associate, Social Publishing to ensure timely delivery, task coverage, and accuracy in post copy and creative formatting.
  • Track post-level performance, flag anomalies, and suggest optimizations based on trends and community engagement. Provide timely updates to leadership when warranted.
  • Maintain publishing calendars, trackers, and internal workflows to support operational clarity and cross-functional alignment.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders on asset delivery and approvals; act as operational point for creative QA and routing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience
  • At least five (5) years of experience in social media publishing, digital content operations, or platform-specific scheduling roles required.
  • Experience pulling native and social listening data, creating dashboards or otherwise understanding and formatting social data into insights that inform future creative and platform strategy required.
  • Experience working in entertainment, media, a high-profile brand, or agency environments, as well as digital publishing, content creation, and/or social media operations strongly preferred.


Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.


Knowledge and Skills
  • Deep familiarity with publishing platforms and tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Meta Suite, YouTube Studio) required.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices, QA standards, and audience behaviors required.
  • Proven ability to manage daily publishing with high attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Effective collaborator with cross-functional teams; able to provide guidance to junior team members required.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills required.
  • Ability to interpret post-level performance metrics and apply learnings to improve publishing effectiveness strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of platform trends, best practices, and fan communities, with a desire to stay current and continually improve strongly preferred.
  • Passion for pop culture and franchise storytelling strongly preferred.


Preferred...
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Must be able to collaborate across global time zones as needed.
  • May be required to support early morning or evening publishing windows tied to global campaigns, premieres, or tentpole moments.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $63,001.00 - $117,002.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
