Your New Role

Global process owner (GPO) of Fixed Assets for all consolidated WBD companies. This individual oversees/manages WBD's total fixed asset portfolio of approximately $6 billion, supporting all domestic and international companies. This individual manages one direct report in Atlanta, a captive team in our Hyderabad capability center, and an out-sourced team as well as various indirect teams located at various centers of excellence. The team is responsible for processing fixed asset transactions (i.e. capitalization, write-offs/retirements, sales, asset record maintenance and depreciation run) and completing month-end deliverables/reports. This role will ensure all deliverables are completed timely, accurately, and will sign off on necessary close requirements.

This individual will be the point of contact for all fixed asset questions and issues related to fixed asset policies and procedures, audits/SOX and ad hoc requests from management or tax, global companies, and lines of business.

This position requires an understanding of GAAP and the company's policies/controls, with emphasis on internal use software. This person needs the ability to solve problems and manage relationships with various business leaders across the company.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Manage accounting functions: maintaining the general ledger, journal entry processing, account reconciliations, analysis, certifications and intercompany accounting
  • Oversee the month end close process to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness
  • Lead special projects and proactively develop accurate ad hoc analyses for management to make informed decisions
  • Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with members of the Finance and Operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with US GAAP, local regulatory, and established SOX requirements and procedures
  • Assist with team administration: feedback, development, training, assessment
  • Review complex entries and supporting documentation and recommend proper accounting treatment on these transactions
  • Work closely with external and internal audit to support walk-throughs and testing completion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in relevant accounting experience
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate key accounting decisions
  • High emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation with India-based capability centers
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA & ECC
  • Experience with Internal-Use Software capitalization
  • Experience with SAP Implementations is a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines.
