Your New Role...
CNN is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Director for a 6-month contract role, focusing on Brand and Content Marketing. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing Strategy and will play a crucial role in elevating the CNN brand and its subscription products. The role involves developing and executing strategies that enhance upper funnel awareness and drive engagement with our diverse content offerings, including live daily shows, talent, original series, films, podcasts, and digital video series.
This is a project-based position through November 28, 2025.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Develop and implement brand marketing strategies to increase awareness and perception of the CNN brand and its subscription products.
- Lead content marketing initiatives for single-title IP, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience engagement goals.
- Build and execute marketing plans that leverage both owned and paid media channels to drive awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the Growth Marketing team to create holistic, full-funnel campaigns that deliver measurable results.
- Analyze market trends and audience insights to inform marketing strategies and optimize campaign performance.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Proven experience in brand and content marketing, preferably within the media or entertainment industry.
- 5+ years in a management role.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies, with a focus on upper funnel awareness and engagement.
- Track record of deploying successful paid media campaigns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,000.00 - $234,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
