Your New Role
Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Contract Reporting Analyst as a part of the HBO West Coast Business Affairs department. The Contract Reporting group supports talent negotiations and contractual reporting to talent and co-production partners on all HBO and Max original programming. Additionally, the group supports the Corporate Finance department with Participation budgeting, accruals, and cash forecasting.

The Contract Reporting Analyst is responsible for calculating Participation Ultimates for HBO and Max original programming. This position reviews and understands contractual agreements, ensuring that all financial obligations are accurate and timely met. Additionally, the Contract Reporting Analyst will be responsible for reading and understanding distribution agreements to allocate revenue based on the contractual terms.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Calculate Participation Ultimates by analyzing contractual agreements and using complex financial models.
  • On a quarterly basis, review financial models to assess reasonableness of accruals and update for actuals, as necessary.
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects involving financial analysis and modeling.
  • Manage and organize contracts for Participations liability according to the latest programming slate.
  • Analyze distribution agreements and allocate revenue accordingly.
  • System testing and implementation of new process improvements.
  • Assist in residuals and profit participations audits.
  • Position will interact frequently with various departments and positions across the company.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years' experience in related field preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Excel with solid analytical skills and an understanding of systems.
  • Must be comfortable reading and understanding legal agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
  • Ideal candidate will have entertainment, participations and/or audit experience.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $42,209.00 - $78,389.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
