The Job
The Automation Solutions Engineer will have a strong background in developing automation solutions using different tools (Scripting + Low Code Tools). Will play a pivotal role in streamlining and optimizing development and operational processes across the organization.
This role requires a deep understanding of SDLC principles, a passion for automation, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation.
Your Role Accountabilities:
OPERATIONS
- Develop and maintain automation workflows: Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows and pipelines using robust automation platforms and tools to streamline development processes, including debugging and error handling.
- DevOps Mindset: Focused on applying CI/CD pipelines to the components developed by our team (where applicable), ensuring seamless integration and deployment-without assuming broader DevOps responsibilities.
- Monitor delivered solutions: Ensure the reliability and performance of automation solutions by actively monitoring the health of third-party services and automated components. This includes identifying outages or misconfigurations specific to our solutions and taking action to resolve them-without engaging in general infrastructure monitoring.

- Platform Integration Support: Collaborate with administration teams of enterprise collaboration platforms (e.g., GitHub Enterprise, Docker Hub Enterprise, Atlassian suite, or similar systems) to automate processes that enhance operational efficiency. This role focuses on integrating these platforms with automation tools to streamline workflows and support administrative tasks-without taking on platform administration or direct system management responsibilities.
- Continuous improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation on automation tools and processes.
- Collaboration and communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality automation solutions.
STRATEGY
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand team needs and dependencies to better align business processes
- Accurately and clearly articulate strategic issues and provide relevant, logical options for solving them
- Leverage automation platforms integrate data sources and streamline reporting workflows, enhancing real-time insights and enabling proactive data-driven decisions.
- Actively participate in stakeholder meetings with the goal of understanding all major projects and initiatives planned.
The Essentials
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of Proven experience in SDLC and automation development, with expertise in automation tools.
- Experience debugging and error handling for automation platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation frameworks.
- Expertise in API development, integration, and management across multiple runtime environments, languages, and frameworks.
- Expertise in designing and building automation solutions for workflows, pipelines, and data integration (e.g. Snowflake, AWS RDS for PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Solid understanding of SDLC principles and best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive team culture.
- High adaptability and initiative, especially in fast-paced and ambiguous scenarios.
Not Required but preferred experience:
- Training: Relevant training in SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, automation, or related technologies.
- Minimal Cloud experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Agile methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)
- Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services.
- Experience working in a national or global company.
- Some visualization tool knowledge would be helpful (i.e. Tableau, Power BI)
- Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment
- Background in managing additional enterprise systems or emerging technologies.
