Your New Role...
The Media Asset Specialist will function in a variety of capacities for the HBO/Max Marketing Operations team at Warner Brothers Discovery. We are looking for an individual who understands creative workflows and can be embedded with both show post teams and Marketing producers, and understand both worlds. This means a creative background as well as a technical understanding of specs and file types and their effect on creative production. A customer service persona who can interact with lots of different types of creative individuals is critical. Ideal candidates will have experience with digital cinema cameras, video file types, Avid Media Composer/Adobe CC Ingest and Export, execution of media workflows, and general Post Production applications, as well as experience and deep understanding of creative workflows on show productions and Marketing productions.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Collaborate with Creative and Production Teams: Work directly with shows and marketing creatives to facilitate communication on both creative and technical aspects throughout production. This includes unfinished shot select requests working with the creative producer and show post.
- Media Workflow Management: Oversee media ingest, export, transcoding, and delivery workflows, ensuring they align with creative and technical requirements.
- Work with Post Production Teams: Partner with global show post-production teams to ensure smooth integration of media assets across various stages of production.
- Campaign Media Support: Assist creative partners with marketing campaign media workflows, ensuring timely and efficient media handling for promotional purposes.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with technical teams to address and resolve complex media issues, including production technology and automation challenges.
- Task Allocation: Take on various tasks based on a combination of individual skillsets and team needs, adapting to shifting priorities and project requirements.
Qualifications and Experience...
- Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Communications / TV / Film
- English proficient
- A minimum of 2 years work experience in a Post-Production / Media Management environment.
- Functional working experience with Avid Media Composer, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Functional knowledge of file encoding/transcoding and delivery systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and written skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle many projects at once and remain organized and professional.
- Customer service attitude willing to go "above and beyond" to ensure successful outcomes for our producers and shows.
- Willing to sign an NDA and keep confidential material secret and secure.
