What you'll do...

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to lead our platform tooling initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and robust tooling solutions that enhance developer productivity and system reliability. You will play a key role in developing service catalogs, observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, and shared libraries that support our engineering teams in delivering high-quality software efficiently.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient tooling solutions that improve developer experience and operational excellence.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive service catalog that provides a centralized repository of our microservices and their metadata.
  • Enhance observability across our platforms by integrating logging, monitoring, and tracing tools that enable proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Architect and refine our CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process, incorporating automation, containerization, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Develop and maintain shared libraries and frameworks that promote code reuse and best practices across engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their tooling needs and provide innovative solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform tooling and infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Extensive experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack), CI/CD technologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI), and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor others and drive technical initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
