Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As an associate at the International Merchandising team, you will be involved in the design, development and delivery of merchandising Front-end UI systems using React JS platform cutting edge technology, to revolutionize the Pricing systems for all the international countries that Walmart operates in. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of associates supporting over 11 countries to ensure we have the right products at the right time and right price through any channel that our customer decide to shop.

The team is in a transformational phase of developing an ecosystem of next generation products that enable Merchants determine the optimal price for their products in stores, clubs, and ecommerce by analyzing market trends, customer demand and competitor pricing. Recent innovations in the area include automated system that recommend prices, markdowns at a large scale, detect anomalies to maintain competitive pricing and item swaps in stores using analytics and intelligence.

Excellent opportunity to work on React JS development in Next-Gen Technology stack and Cloud environment. As a Front-end UI application development expert in React, you will do:

  • System Design, team and peer reviews, performance and cost optimization, system stability through latest DevOPS tools and best practices.
  • Retail/Merchandising/Pricing/Online-Stores Domain knowledge preferrable.
  • Application development using React-JS front-end with Java Springboot back-end in latest multi-cloud environment (Azure, GCS, and Walmart internal Cloud), in high-tech CI/CD integration framework.
  • Variety of SQL, COSMOS, Big Query and No-SQL Databases, along with Multi-partition Kafka, MQ and other messaging tools.

About Team:
Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.

What you'll do:

  • Act as Front-end UI Development Technology Expert and lead a group of 10 developers/testers.
  • Do Core/integration designs (HLD/LLD) and procure Architecture and Security approvals.
  • Code walk-thru and reviews, resolve blockers and guide the Onshore/Offshore team.
  • Lead the release with overall stakeholders' coordination, ensuring alignment with latest DevOPS practices.
  • Be single POC, ensuring complete communication and reporting to Management.

What you'll bring:

  • "Expert level" prowess with React JS, JSX, JavaScript Fundamentals + ES6, Git, Redux, Node + NPM, Fetch data from both APIs (GraphQL & Rest). Tools - Sentry, Bitrise, Hockeyapp, Redux, ESLint, Jest, Enzyme, etc.
  • J2EE design paradigms, Springboot frameworks, Kafka or other message queuing integration frameworks.
  • Expert in writing algorithms and complex SQL queries.
  • High volume, large-scale application development and deployment experience.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • CI/CD knowledge on latest cloud technologies is must.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
