In this role you will:

  • Help us create and deliver a new world-class speaker training program that enables our company's most visible spokespersons to deliver company messaging in ways that are powerful and authentic on the world's biggest stages.
  • Write speeches and presentations as part of a collaborative team that supports six C-Suite leaders including our global CEO, chief legal officer, chief corporate affairs officer, chief technology officer, chief people officer and chief financial officer.
  • Create and maintain, as part of a team, external engagement platforms for C-Suite leaders.
  • Respond to executive-level external correspondence related to speaking invitations, reputational issues, and customer concerns.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Coaching and training executives to deliver speeches and presentations powerfully.
  • Serving as a strategic communications counselor to senior Walmart leaders.
  • Preparing speeches, presentations and talking points primarily for external audiences.
  • Designing executive communications plans and platforms that showcase Walmart leadership and expand awareness of Walmart's strategy. You'll work collaboratively with teammates across the Global Communications team to drive those plans forward.
  • Applying creative ways to tell stories and determine the best way to reach and engage with target audiences; continuously challenging and improving the effectiveness of communication efforts, and monitoring and analyzing communication activities to inform future decision making.
  • Coaching, staffing and preparing our top leaders for engagements.

You'll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You have the confidence and expertise to coach executives on speech delivery.
  • You're an expert speechwriter with a background writing for CEOs in the retail sector.
  • You have exemplary communications skills and engaging executive presence.
  • You're a master at making complex subjects easily understood through words and visuals.
  • You have the ability to quickly produce clear, compelling, motivating communications in a fast-paced company environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching public speaking or executive coaching.
  • Experience supporting a Fortune 50 CEO.
  • Experience working in the retail sector.

Travel: up to 10% of the time to support clients as needed

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
