Walmart's Food Manufacturing Network is seeking an experienced and dedicated Asset Protection Director with expertise leading EHS Programs in food manufacturing operations to join our team. As the Asset Protection Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of environmental, health & safety (EHS), security risk management, and compliance within our food manufacturing facilities.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive asset protection strategies, programs, and policies across our food manufacturing network to minimize risk, ensure compliance with company standards, and mitigate potential threats.
  • Provide guidance to business leaders on issues related to asset protection, workplace safety, compliance, and security.
  • Lead a team in the consistent execution of the company's asset protection practices, systems, and personnel-related activities by auditing asset protection practices.
  • Directs compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and company policies and procedures by keeping current on laws and regulations related to general safety and compliance practices, as well as permitted regulations.
  • Achieves network-level safety and shrink reduction goals by implementing, prioritizing, and driving strategies, initiatives, and trainings (for example, safety, inventory management, theft prevention, security, criminal deterrence, investigations).
  • Ensures facilities in the network are prepared for crises by building and sustaining trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with government and non-governmental agencies.
  • Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Being a trusted advisor: Develop strong and trusting relationships - as an Asset Protection leader working to solve issues, address pain points and implement strategies which increase overall safety, security, and compliance of the organization.
  • Overseeing business performance: Conduct deep dive analysis on issues effecting performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
  • Producing compelling presentations: Develop and deliver clear, cohesive, and skillful communication regarding safety, security, and compliance.
  • Working cross-functionally: Collaborate with Manufacturing business partners to deliver best-in-class Asset Protection solutions.
  • Working Autonomously: You will be responsible for management of the above and action with limited manager oversight.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, production/operations management, or related area and 4 years' experience in asset protection, global security, auditing, program management, or related area.

Option 2: 6 years' experience in asset protection, environmental health and safety, auditing, program management, or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience.

Experience in leading Asset Protection/Environmental, Health & Safety programs for food manufacturing facilities. Master's degree in business administration, occupational health and safety, or related field.

Expertise in Process Safety Management, Hazard Risk Assessments, Machine Safety, Hazardous Substances Management and Regulatory Contact/Inspection/Response.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
