Senior Manager, Offsite Energy Investments-Tax Oriented
Position Summary...
As the Senior Manager, Offsite Energy Investments, you will play a key role in shaping Walmart's global grid-scale energy investment strategy. In this position, you will enable energy solutions that advance our goals of: (i) ensuring energy security and affordability, (ii) building new clean energy businesses, and (iii) accelerating emissions reductions. You will address critical energy “ACRE” risks-including access, cost, resiliency, and emissions-by investing in high-impact, grid-scale energy infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure strong financial and operational outcomes, support capital deployment goals, and contribute to Walmart's sustainability and decarbonization efforts.
You'll join a high-performing group of professionals dedicated to transforming Walmart's energy portfolio and reducing our carbon footprint worldwide. Our team works cross-functionally with business leaders, external partners, and policy makers to deliver innovative energy solutions that strengthen the power grid, manage long-term energy costs, and create value for the communities we serve. All while supporting Walmart's regenerative commitments and leading progress towards our clean energy and emissions reductions targets.

What you'll do...
- Support the development and execution of Walmart's global renewable energy strategy, including managing a multi-GW portfolio of offsite projects and leading tax equity and other investment portfolios
- Oversee risk management, performance evaluation, and optimization strategies, collaborating with internal teams and third parties
- Analyze project data, contracts, and financials to drive improvements, solve problems, and inform strategic decisions
- Enhance portfolio management and reporting processes, providing regular updates and forecasts to stakeholders and senior management
- Support negotiations for long-term capital investments, ensuring effective execution of business plans and projects
What You'll Bring...
- Understanding of both competitive and regulated energy markets (preferred)
- Experience with renewable energy project development and key drivers of project value (preferred)
- Experience operating in a large, global organization (preferred)

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field and 2 years of experience in the renewable energy industry OR 4 years' experience in Finance, Business, renewable energy industry or related area.
