Senior Manager, Communications Partnerships & Operations
Position Summary...
The Senior Manager, Communications Partnerships & Operations plays a key role in supporting Walmart's Global Communications organization through thoughtful coordination of agency relationships and operational processes. This role builds on work we started in 2024, and is responsible for developing consistent practices for partner engagement, contract management, and performance alignment-helping ensure our external communications partners are positioned to support evolving business needs with clarity, efficiency, and excellence.
This individual will serve as the central point of contact for agency process governance, working across teams to streamline scopes, standardize workflows, and strengthen alignment with internal systems including Procurement, Legal, and Finance. This role also champions the integration of new tools and technologies to enhance how we work with partners at scale. Further, as a member of the Global Communications team, you will support our vision to position Walmart as a force for good and a brand that brings people and communities together to drive positive change. What you'll do...
- Partnership Coordination
Serve as the operational lead for communications agency coordination. Support consistent documentation, point-of-contact mapping, and working models across external partners.
- Process Development & Governance
Design and implement scalable processes for agency onboarding, contract workflows, and scope standardization. Work closely with Procurement and Legal to ensure compliance and operational consistency.
- Performance Alignment
Collaborate with internal teams to develop clear expectations and performance tracking frameworks that support ongoing accountability and value delivery.
- Workload Mapping & Resource Optimization
Partner with communications leads to align internal and external resources to the most impactful priorities-ensuring work is resourced effectively across teams and vendors.
- Technology Integration, Innovation & Enablement
Apply AI and other technology to improve consistency and efficiency in communications operations and agency management. Champion the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence into communications operations-enhancing team adaptability, scalability, and impact. Specifically:
- Driving Innovation:Stay informed on AI trends and emerging technologies relevant to corporate communications, media relations, content creation, and reputation management.
- Strategic Application:Identify practical ways to incorporate AI tools to enhance storytelling, streamline workflows, personalize communications, and measure impact more effectively.
- Ethical Stewardship:Ensure the responsible use of AI in alignment with Walmart's values, privacy and copyright standards, and transparency expectations-balancing innovation with integrity.
- Capability Building:Lead and develop teams to build confidence and competence in AI tools, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years' experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area.
1 year's supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
