Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As Visual Merchandising Styling Manager you will play a key role in elevating the Walmart Associate and customer experience by:

  • Translating omni channel trend initiatives to in-store brand experiences
  • Supporting the development of Visual Merchandising Styling tools, resources, and brand guides at Home Office and Field
  • Driving alignment & collaboration with Visual Operations, Retail Brand Experience (RBX), Merchant teams while implementing quarterly strategies.

Ideal candidates will be able to lead through ambiguity, foster connectivity with the cross-functional team (Merchandising, Space Planning, Marketing, Store Operations, etc.), educate and promote Walmart Visual as an essential function and be ready to roll-up their sleeves.

You will make an impact by:

  • Develop seasonal Key Looks that provide a brand strategy roadmap for Visual Merchandising, Site Merchandising, and the Retail Brand Experience (RBX).
  • Visualize abstract and conceptual ideas based on balance, proportion, and color in a virtual environment.
  • Build and foster relationships with Merchants, Design, and RBX partners, while leading division-wide styling concepts and direction to drive elevated presentations across stores.
  • Understanding the translation of industry trends that ladder back to seasonal brand strategies and business objectives.
  • Responsible for continued development, process management and consistent implementation of the styling strategy.
  • Co-lead packaging of content with Visual Operations to ensure univariable guidance for in-store execution.

  • You can effectively stretch across multiple functions (styling, merchandising, innovation, guest insights, store operations etc.) to support the broader team.
  • You have the aptitude for building strong partnerships, presenting to, and influencing across all levels.
  • You operate with customer and store team centricity at the forefront.
  • You lead with an open mind to evolve the ways we work and achieve our business goals - always asking questions, challenging the status quo, championing diverse points of view, and applying new/diverse ways of thinking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in Fashion/Styling, Visual Merchandising, Retail Marketing, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Home Office Styling/Visual Merchandising
  • 2+ years on set styling
  • 2+ years of in-store retail experience
  • Proven ability to effectively coach, build skillsets, and develop diverse and inclusive teams
  • Comfortable self-motivating, self-directing, and building process and solutions when not defined
  • Strong, quick, and thorough problem-solving skills within fast paced environments
  • Possess strong organization and prioritization skills while remaining agile and calm under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Preferred experience in Adobe Creative
  • Experience with Big Box Retailer or Campaign Marketing
  • Portfolio highlighting comprehensive styling experience

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
