Position Summary...

As the Program Manager for SkillBridge and Military Connected hiring events your responsibilities include planning, managing, and attending military hiring events, partnering with Veteran Service organizations to host virtual events, sourcing top talent for critical roles, and representing Walmart at in-person recruiting events. The role serves as the subject matter expert for the Brazen platform, manages relationships and trains associates, and delivers regular “Spark Your Career: Military Connected” workshops. Collaboration with Strategic Sourcing and Events Teams drives military-connected sourcing through Avature and Brazen, while partnerships with business leaders help identify hard-to-fill roles and develop effective sourcing strategies. The position leads the SkillBridge Internship Program, oversees the development and implementation of the Military Spouse Fellowship Program, and co-creates and manages the Career Skills Program in partnership with the Department of Defense. Additional duties include coordinating with Military Transition Assistance Programs to ensure Walmart's engagement, analyzing operational data to support strategic and tactical decisions, providing recommendations to senior leadership, and leading change management and project management initiatives as needed.

What you'll do...

  • Plan, manage, and attend military hiring events; partner with Veteran Service organizations to host virtual events, source top talent for critical roles, and represent Walmart at in-person recruiting events
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Brazen, managing relationships and training associates on the platform
  • Deliver our Walmart “Spark Your Career: Military Connected” workshops bi-weekly
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing and Events Teams to drive Military Connected sourcing through Avature and Brazen
  • Partner with business leaders to identify hard-to-fill roles, develop sourcing strategies, and leverage external partnerships to attract high-quality candidates
  • Lead the SkillBridge Internship Program: own requisition processes and drive program growth
  • Develop and implement the Military Spouse Fellowship Program
  • Co-create and manage the Career Skills Program, partner with the Department of Defense
  • Coordinate with Military Transition Assistance Programs (TAP), ensuring field and business engagement and Walmart participation at TAP hiring events
  • Analyze operational data to inform tactical and strategic decisions; make recommendations to the Director and Senior Director
  • Lead change management and project management initiatives as required

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with Military Connected talent
  • Knowledge of SkillBridge Internship Programs, Career Skills Program, and Military Spouse Fellowships
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership
  • Demonstrated experience serving the Military Connected community
  • Proficiency with program and event management tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners, including military organizations
  • Experience with Workday
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Event planning and program execution experience
  • Familiarity with military protocols, structure, and culture
  • Skills in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement
  • Experience working with military or Veteran recruiting programs, including partnerships with Veteran Service Organizations, SkillBridge, or Military Transition Assistance Programs (TAP)
  • Familiarity with recruitment and sourcing platforms, such as Brazen and Avature
  • Background in leading or managing change management or project management initiatives

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
