Join the Walmart US Marketplace Legal Team to partner with the business & compliance leadership on fast-paced, financial-focused operations, and strategy for the world's largest company. This Lead Counsel role will provide legal support for walmart.com's Marketplace team, provide legal counsel for Marketplace operations and transactions, and collaborate with cross functional teams to mitigate legal and compliance regulatory risk.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Supporting the growth of the walmart.com Marketplace platform
  • Providing legal advice to the company by providing clients with an informed understanding of the client's legal rights, obligations, and risks to allow the client to make informed decisions
  • Collaborating with senior executives on significant risks; seeking authority and obtaining informed consent to proceed with legal matters

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • You have ecommerce experience
  • You have substantial, diverse legal experience (ex. combination of in-house, government, leading law firm, etc.)
  • You empower your business partners while working collaboratively to achieve cross-functional goals within a corporate environment
  • Leveraging technology to streamline processes, communication and workflows

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$320,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Law degree from an accredited law school and 6 years' experience in law.
License to practice law in at least one state.
2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
