The VMware Workspace ONE Tunnel team is seeking for a passionate software engineer. In this role you will:

  • Work closely with engineers/peers to prioritize, review/create backlog, and drive key improvements as a part of our agile processes
  • Work with Product Management teams to address their immediate product challenges, to bring them as product/team roadmap.
  • Collaborate across roles and organizational boundaries to deliver valuable outcomes for VMware and its customers.
  • Delivering key features and continue further secure and optimize our product.

Success in the role: What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • You will become part of an experienced engineering team, which is building a secure access product, well integrated with our UEM product following the Scrum of Scrums methodology.
  • You and your team will be responsible for delivering key features in our clients, especially on Windows platform.
  • During your first months on the job, you will be expected to build your knowledge in the domain and the technology your team is already building. To do so you will participate in the team's scope and architectural discussion, work with your peers.
  • By the third month we expect you to fully understand the deliverables of your team. You would work with your peers to maintain the reliability of the service(s)

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

As a key member of VMware Workspace ONE Tunnel team, you will be building various features which provides utmost security and access to internal or external resources.

  • You should have great communication and presentation skills and knowledge in Application Development/ Software Development experience with C++/C#/Golang (prior experience with Windows Filtering Platform is a big plus).
  • You will often engage in feature development, writing tools to measure software performance and ability to identify functional/performance issues in our product.
  • You will often engage in optimisation of C#/GoLang based applications, application servers, knowledge of performance patterns and full stack performance profiling and analysis.
  • You will gain hand-on experience while working with our product on kernel mode programming, Windows internals, .NET and will have great deal of understanding with Layer3 and other networking technologies - IP/TCP/HTTP/SSL.
  • You will be closely collaborating with senior engineers/leaders to review product architecture to assess and develop standard practice to deliver high performing software. Evaluate, analyse, and tune software to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, optimize resource utilise
  • You will be participating in cross-functional design discussions, while integrating our products with other internal/external product suites.
