Job Scope
The Vice President of People Products and Systems, reporting to the Senior Vice President of People System and Operations, will provide senior leadership to drive the strategic product vision, user experience design, and operational excellence for all HR technology products and HRIS platforms. This role will operate in close partnership with the VP of HR Applications on the People Technology team to jointly shape Visa’s HR technology landscape.
The successful candidate will own the full HR product lifecycle - from discovery, employee experience design, and business requirement development in close partnership with HR leaders, through collaboration with the VP of HR Applications for technical build and integration, and continuing post-launch to drive adoption, measure impact, and deliver continuous improvement. This leader should have an eye towards the future to lean in with generative AI and human-centered design to build innovative People solutions across our systems.
The candidate will be responsible for a cross-functional global team including HRIS, product managers, business analysts and subject matter experts to define product strategy, manage system operations, and drive adoption of HR technology solutions across Visa's global workforce.

This role manages teams across multiple regions, collaborating with People Centers of Excellence (COEs) & People Business Partner (PBP) communities, technology teams and other Visa groups to develop and execute strategic and operational service delivery plans. The individual will also be responsible for creating and operationalizing our People data governance strategy.
This leader will also build and maintain strong internal and external relationships. Externally, they will partner with vendors to leverage benchmark best practices and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience across all HR systems. Internally, they will drive horizonal interconnectedness within the team and with global technology partners to ensure Visa is leveraging the right HR technology skill sets to build a high performing, globally aligned function.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership
- Defining and executing HR product vision and roadmap aligned to business and employee experience, lead discovery, user research, and design thinking to identify innovation opportunities
- Translating insights into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, partnering with HR Technology team to build and launch high-quality HR solutions
- Owning the full product lifecycle and performance – driving adoption and continuous optimization while establishing and tracking KPIs, user satisfaction, and business impact
HRIS Leadership & Operations:
- Setting enterprise HRIS strategy and a 5-year systems roadmap aligned with Visa’s 2030 vision, lead planning, implementation, and change enablement
- Overseeing day-to-day HRIS operations and performance, including maintenance, technical end-user support, and continuous optimization to deliver reliable People systems
- Managing data and vendor governance: ensuring data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance with audit readiness, overseeing vendor selection, contracts, and SLAs in partnership with People Technology
User Experience & Adoption:
- Championing employee-centric design principles across all HR technology touchpoints
- Leading change management and adoption through ownership of internal communications and marketing, stakeholder engagement, and targeted training programs and support resources
- Conducting regular user feedback sessions and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration:
- Partnering closely with VP of HR Applications to ensure product vision, business requirements, and employee experience goals are translated into cohesive technical strategies and delivered seamlessly
- Serving as the bridge between HR Centers of Excellence and HR Applications technical teams to capture, prioritize, and refine business requirements for optimal solution design
- Ensuring trust and innovation by coordinating with Legal and Compliance for regulatory adherence while managing vendor relationships and tracking industry trends
Team Leadership & Development:
- Leading and developing a high-performing global team of product managers, HRIS specialists, and business analysts through clear roles, responsibilities and performance metrics
- Creating career development paths and learning opportunities for team members
- Fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning
Business Management:
- Managing annual budgets for HR technology products, HRIS operations, and vendor contracts
- Developing business cases for new HR technology investments and leading vendor evaluation and selection processes
- Providing regular executive reporting on product performance, system health, and progress against strategic initiatives
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD
• Extensive HRIS experience in 5,000+ employee organizations, with deep Workday expertise (HCM, Advanced Compensation, Reporting) including administration and configuration
• Strong product management experience with demonstrated ability to define product strategy, manage roadmaps, and drive user adoption
• Broad HR domain knowledge across talent acquisition, performance, compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle management
• Proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives and change management in HR technology
• Advanced analytical skills with experience in HR data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools
• Leadership of global, cross-functional teams, exceling at owning complex, ambiguous problems and juggling shifting priorities in high-growth settings
• Excellent verbal and written communicator and influencer with executive presence, with a customer-centric mindset and sound judgment and high ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications:
• 15 or more years of HR technology leadership experience with an advanced degree, with progressive responsibility across product management and HRIS operations
• Certified Workday administrator credentials (HCM, Compensation, Reporting)
• Expertise in design thinking, user experience research, and product analytics tools
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management frameworks
• Background in change management, training design, and user adoption strategies
• Strong vendor management and contracting skills with knowledge of employment law, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and HR compliance requirements
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 236,300.00 to 369,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
