Job Description

Visa is seeking a visionary, enterprise-minded, and results-driven Vice President, Global Head of Client Contracting to serve as the senior leader driving the transformation and long-term optimization of our end-to-end Client Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) strategy and capabilities. The ideal leader brings deep, hands-on expertise with CLM platforms and the full gamut of how contracts run within enterprise tools and systems. This role holds enterprise-wide accountability for defining and executing Visa’s global contracting vision, overseeing the strategy, design, implementation, and continual advancement of our contracting infrastructure, policies, governance, and service delivery model.

Driving contracting transformation globally, this leader will align people, processes, and technology, including deep platform fluency across CLM and adjacent systems, to create scalable,  to create scalable, efficient, and business-enabling client contracting experiences that accelerate growth, enhance operational agility, and deepen client relationships worldwide that align to key commercial frameworks.

Following the successful execution of transformation initiatives, the Global Head of Client Contracting will retain enterprise ownership and accountability for:

  • Establishing and governing a global framework for contract template configuration, modification, management, and enhancements across the deal and contract lifecycle.
  • In partnership with the VP of Global Sales Tools, drive the end-to-end  system strategy, optimization, and integration of CLM platforms with enterprise applications to maximize efficiency and user adoption.
  • Scaling contracting capabilities to support Visa’s expanding portfolio of products, services, and acquisitions.
  • Balancing governance and compliance with achieving commercial outcomes, business KPIs, and regional stakeholder priorities.
  • Leading first-line operational excellence, including contract intake, process approvals, compliance oversight, and execution.
  • Strengthening the connection between contracting and revenue realization, quoting, and deal design.
  • Highlighting collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Product teams to optimize deal configuration and commercial outcomes.
  • Serving as a key leader of GSCO to build a best-in-class B2B sales organization with a sustainable, high-performing deal, contracting, and revenue realization discipline, capability and team around the globe.

The ideal candidate is a strategic enterprise leader and trusted advisor who can influence at the highest levels, navigate global complexity, and inspire alignment across regions and functions. They will bring the vision, innovation, and executional discipline to position quoting to deal design to contracting as a core competitive advantage—delivering speed, transparency, and measurable value for Visa and its clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Contracting Strategy & Transformation

  • Define and execute a global client contracting vision aligned with Visa’s strategic objectives, client-first principles, and growth priorities.
  • Lead multi-year transformation programs to implement best-in-class contracting processes, governance, and service delivery models tailored to varying contract types and regional needs, linking quoting to deal design to contract execution to revenue realization
  • Serve as the senior leader and global owner of contracting at Visa, ensuring alignment across Legal, Finance, Regional Sales Excellence/Sales Operations, and Business Units.

Systems Leadership & Innovation

  • Align with commercial frameworks and partner with VP of Global Sales Tools, design the strategic roadmap for Visa’s CLM platforms, ensuring detailed operational requirements, compliance standards, and user experience goals.
  • Champion innovation with AI and emerging technologies, regulatory trends, and automation opportunities to keep Visa’s contracting function future ready.

Policy, Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain global governance frameworks for contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks, and approval processes with controlled localization where appropriate.
  • Own and manage Visa’s global contracting policies, ensuring they meet audit requirements and drive risk-aware business outcomes.

Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build and lead a global network of professionals to drive adoption, consistency, and collaboration across geographies.
  • Partner closely with executive stakeholders to balance compliance requirements with business agility and KPIs.
  • Oversee first-level operational support for contract intake, approvals, compliance, and execution.

Change Enablement & Capability Building

  • Sponsor enterprise-wide training and adoption programs for contracting systems, policies, and best practices.
  • Drive change management initiatives to embed a culture of contracting excellence, accountability, and efficiency.

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track KPIs, analytics, and dashboards to measure performance, identify trends, and inform strategic enhancements.
  • Continuously evolve and scale global contracting processes to support new products, services, and acquisitions, while proactively anticipating and leveraging emerging legal, regulatory, and technological developments to keep Visa’s client contracting capabilities industry-leading, fit for purpose and future proof, and a source of competitive advantage both internally and in the marketplace.
  • Make it easy and seamless to contract with Visa.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
• 15+ years of leadership experience in legal, procurement, commercial operations, or related fields with a strong focus on client contracting and CLM systems.
• Proven success in leading global, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
• Deep hands-onexpertise with leading CLM platforms (e.g., Icertis, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, Ironclad) and related technologies,
• Exceptional strategic, operational, and change leadership skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
• Proven expertise in program and project leadership, with the capability to oversee and deliver complex, multi-phase, enterprise-wide implementations from strategy through execution.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 258,100.00 to 403,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
