Job Description
Visa Direct team is looking for an individual with a technical bent of mind and interest in product ownership to help us continue to grow and launch new features and services. The Technical Product Manager is a hands-on role which includes the following responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business sponsors and product managers to define product strategy and roadmap.
• Translate high-level business needs into detailed, actionable requirements for engineering teams.
Drive brainstorming and solutioning workshops involving product teams, developers, architects, and SMEs.
• Serve as the product subject matter expert (SME), providing clarity and guidance during development cycles.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, manage escalations, anticipate challenges, and balance business goals with technical constraints to maximize value.
• Partner with customers and external stakeholders on co-creation initiatives and drive product adoption.
• Champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies and implementing impactful improvements within the product portfolio.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 6 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA).
Preferred Qualifications:
•Over 5 years of proven experience in the Payments or FinTech sector.
•Background as an Architect or Developer with a strong track record in building products using Java technologies, APIs (SOAP & REST), and Web & Mobile development.
•Familiarity with global payment standards such as SWIFT, ISO 20022 (MX), MT, SEPA, Fedwire, CHAPS, UPI, and similar protocols.
•Hands-on experience with cross-border payment solutions is a significant plus.
•Demonstrated expertise in creating product roadmaps, writing user stories, grooming backlogs, and managing priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
•Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities.
•Strong technical acumen coupled with a genuine passion for product ownership.
•Is proactive and operates with a sense of urgency and 'can do' attitude.
