Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff Systems Engineer (Multiple Openings) in Highlands Ranch, CO to:

  • Work alongside other system engineers, architects, and technical streams to design, build, and support middleware platform (Web Proxy, Applications Servers & Messaging).
  • Work with internal products automation and oversee end-to-end agile design, scoping, and implementation.
  • Oversee end-to-end agile design, scoping, and implementation, and work closely with the Development and Service design teams to deliver a quality product as required.
  • Position reports to the Highlands Ranch, Colorado office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

 

  • Installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, backup/recovery and upgrades of IBM WebSphere or Tomcat servers;
  • Installation and administration of Apache HTTP server or IBM HTTP server;
  • Containers and containerization orchestration, such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Images;
  • DevOps sourcecontrol;
  • Building and management tools, including Chef, GITHUB, Ansible and Jenkins;
  • UNIX shell scripting (Bash or Python);
  • OS (RHEL), SAN Storage, Networking technology, load balancer, SSL/TLS, DNS and Firewall;
  • Multi datacenter infrastructure and handling active-active/active-passive application deployments; and
  • Diagnostic tool, such as IBM Support Assistant or TC Heap/GC analyzer, to find root cause solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $152,069.00 USD to $179,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
