  • Design develop and maintain end to end features across backend Java Spring Boot and frontend Angular React with TypeScript
  • Lead system design service boundaries APIs data modeling scalability reliability security
  • Build and optimize REST GraphQL APIs implement caching and performance improvements
  • Apply strong DSA to write efficient maintainable code and solve complex problems
  • Own the software lifecycle coding testing code reviews deployment monitoring and iteration
  • Improve CI CD pipelines Jenkins containerization and release processes in partnership with DevOps
  • Collaborate with product design QA break work into deliverables and provide estimates
  • Document architecture and best practices mentor peers and contribute to engineering standards
  • Work in Agile Scrum teams and follow the guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 9 years building production web applications as a full stack engineer
  • Strong Java fundamentals and production experience with Spring Boot or similar
  • Proficiency with Angular and or React TypeScript state management routing and testing
  • Demonstrated end to end system design experience microservices vs modular monolith messaging data stores observability
  • Strong data structures and algorithms performance and complexity trade offs
  • SQL expertise PostgreSQL MySQL familiarity with NoSQL is a plus
  • CI CD with Jenkins pipelines Git code quality tools
  • Docker exposure to Kubernetes or cloud container services preferred
  • Cloud experience is a plus
  • Security best practices OWASP authn authz secrets management and testing discipline

We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa.

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

5 to 9 years building production web applications as a full stack engineer
