The Work itself: 

  • Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings 
  • Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads 
  • Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions  Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with product owners to refine requirements and deliver solutions that integrate with existing systems.
  • Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable applications across the full stack: React for the frontend, .NET (preferred) or Java for backend services, and relational databases for data storage.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations to support web applications and partner systems.
  • Optimize database schemas and queries to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies; switch between frontend, backend, and database tasks as priorities shift.
  • Improve delivery through test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability/monitoring.

The Skills You Bring: 

  • Full‑Stack Expertise: strong experience with React and backend development using .NET/C# (preferred) or Java.
  • Database Proficiency: solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including schema design and query optimization.
  • API Development: ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third‑party services using security best practices.
  • Modern Practices: familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud environments.
  • Collaboration: experience working in agile teams with Product, QA, and DevOps.
  • Growth Mindset: eagerness to learn new technologies and challenge conventional solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

This role qualifies for Autorskie Koszty Uzyskania Przychodu (KUP), in accordance with applicable Polish tax regulations. Eligible employees may benefit from preferential tax treatment on income derived from the creation of intellectual property, subject to meeting statutory criteria.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling (bundlers, testing, linting).
  • Proficiency in .NET/C# or Java for backend development, including building scalable services and secure APIs.
  • Experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework Core, Hibernate/JPA).
  • Understanding of systems integration, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
