  • Deliver scalable, secure applications while following the software development lifecycle that is established by the company.
  • Deliver end-to-end software solutions that fulfill both customer and project needs, including writing clean, readable, and reusable code, testing, deploying to end users, and providing support when needed.
  • Develop and support applications, primarily in .NET (C#) or Java.
  • Responsible for full stack contributions on all layers of application development, including, but not limited to, Presentation Layer, Business Logic Layer, and Data Access Layer.
  • Review business and technical requirements, identifying opportunity areas and adjusting as needed.
  • Be a leader on the development team and be present as a coach to all team members on general system design and technical specifications.
  • Assist the rest of the team members in removing obstacles to move initiatives forward.
  • Assist in training less-experienced software development staff.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders and collaborate with the team to implement solutions for customers.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to deliver technical expertise on roadmap items.
  • Conduct multiple layers of testing on applications, including acceptance testing, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Quickly identify design issues that would prevent scalability, performance, or accessibility of applications.
  • Operate in an Agile environment, working with Product and QA team members to deliver software focused on quality.
  • Ensure effective integration of software across products, platforms, and environments.
  • Accountable for the performance, reliability, availability, scalability, and accessibility of applications as assigned.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with the Database, Support, and Deployment teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Help the team orchestrate and organize the team rally around different business outcomes for the sprint.
  • Lead design sessions and projects to help drive them to completion.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that come up within the production environment.
  • Work with internal teams to coordinate the release of code to production environment.
  • Contribute to software design through the use of established patterns and practices.
  • May telecommute.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr. SW Engineer-related occupation. 
  • Object-oriented programming principles.
  • Application architecture design patterns.
  • Web Application development using .NET MVC, Java, Spring Boot, AngularJs, and ReactJs.
  • Building APIs using scalable architecture such as .NET, .NET Core or Java.
  • Relational and Non-Relational Database, including MongoDB, Redis, MS SQL, My SQL, and Azure SQL DB.
  • Agile software development.
  • Kubernetes
  • Observability and Monitoring using NewRelic, DataDog, or Dynatrace.
  • Application Security – Veracode and/or Checkmarx.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $147,368.00 USD to $149,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
