Job Description

The Senior Manager – Commercial Solutions Sales Leader – PUB is responsible for accelerating the penetration and adoption of B2B payments in the markets by working with our Financial Institution Clients, Acquirers, and Fintechs to expand our solutions for both Small Businesses and the Large and Medium Market segments, B2B Verticals, and new payment flows.   • Establishing, developing, and managing the relationship between Visa and VCS Clients and Prospects, setting the direction and implementation of VCS strategies in the country to achieve business objectives through the growth of existing business and the identification of new business opportunities.
  • Conducting competitive assessments to identify needs, gaps, and business opportunities.
  • Identifying key industry trends and developing sales action plans, enabling and delivering content and education to support internal and external clients and spread the B2B innovation narrative for the segment.

This person will work with various stakeholders within the group and across Visa to execute deliverables.

The Senior Manager, Commercial Solutions Leader (Sales) – PUB brings a deep passion for collaboration and ecosystem building, as well as for technology and payments, a futuristic vision, the ability to understand and assemble trends in respective industries, and a deep understanding of the B2B payments landscape. They will drive co-creation and human-centered design engagements with clients and partners in PUB to jointly develop next-generation innovative solutions and proposals for businesses of all sizes, leveraging both our partners and Visa’s capabilities. They will work on highly complex topics, leading multidisciplinary projects with minimal supervision in a dynamic and ambiguous work environment, and will have the ability to independently translate high-level guidance into detailed deliverables. They will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and executive presence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the establishment, direction, and implementation of VCS strategies and business plans for PUB to increase B2B payment penetration, Visa’s market share in the segment, and business objectives through existing business growth and new business opportunities.
  • Establish, develop, and manage the relationship between Visa and VCS clients, prospects, partners, and enablers.
  • Manage VCS objectives, revenue generation, and pipeline. Monitor business results, anticipate challenges, and take proactive actions to achieve business goals.
  • Identify, size, and prioritize new business development opportunities and take responsibility for managing the evaluation and execution of these projects.
  • Lead strategic initiatives across the market to expand B2B accounts payable and receivable programs with issuers, acquirers, processors, enablers, and Visa teams to ensure last-mile execution and program performance.
  • Assess market needs, define, prioritize, and lead key VCS go-to-market activities with Visa stakeholders across multiple workstreams, highlighting plans, risks, and dependencies.
  • Position as a sales leader and subject matter expert in SMB, LMM, Verticals, Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams across regions to expand necessary functionality, address barriers, and secure funding to advance key initiatives.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to bring creative B2B payment solutions to market, amplify impact, and accelerate time to market.
  • Actively monitor trends and developments in B2B payments and commerce, develop opinions/ideas on their implications for Visa, and socialize internally and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with product teams, innovation designers, and implementation teams to identify the right B2B topics, partners, and user experiences to prototype, commercialize, and scale quickly.

 This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in commercial payments and/or wholesale/small business banking (cash management, supplier payments, invoice processing, e-invoicing, supply chain finance, procurement, treasury, financial operations, business travel, etc.)
  • Ideally, experience in commercializing solutions for businesses of all sizes and across all verticals/use cases.
  • Ideally, experience in product management or consulting/investment banking.
  • Experience evaluating a technology landscape, preferably within payments and commerce.
  • Passion for technology, futuristic vision, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Experience working in project-based and matrix reporting environments.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
