As the Sr Director – Head of Clients Indonesia at Visa, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing the country’s client engagement and growth strategy. This role will oversee the full spectrum of sales and business development across a diverse client portfolio.

Additionally, you will lead a high-performing, collaborative sales team that is passionate about empowering clients of all sizes to thrive with Visa’s innovative solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in cultivating a culture of performance, innovation, and client-centricity, while ensuring alignment with Visa’s long-term strategic priorities for Indonesia and the broader region across 3 key growth pillars:

  1. Core – Consumer Payments: Drive initiatives to expand Visa's credit and debit solutions, enhance the adoption of digital payments and other seamless and secure payment solutions to drive market penetration
  2. Commercial & Money Movement Solutions - B2B & Corporate Payments: Deepen B2B spend penetration and provide businesses with efficient and reliable payment systems to streamline their operations and enhance their financial management. Such initiatives would include expanding the acceptance footprint for commercial cards and facilitating seamless money movement for our clients using Visa Direct
  3. Value-Added Services: Grow Visa’s portfolio of issuer-focused solutions and broaden the adoption of Cybersource, Loyalty and Risk & Identity suites. Address specific client pain points with tailored VAS Sales Plays to enhance client relationships and drive revenue growth, positioning Visa as a leading technology payment company in Indonesia

Specifically, the Head of Clients will:

  • Drive Market Growth: Lead client development strategies to expand Visa’s footprint, increase PCE penetration, grow seller volume, and boost data processing revenues
  • Strengthen Strategic Partnerships: Manage and deepen relationships with top-tier clients—issuers, acquirers, sellers, fintechs, and conglomerates—while driving adoption of Visa’s full suite of solutions
  • Execute with Strategic Precision: Translate Visa’s long-term vision into actionable market plans, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and business priorities
  • Mitigate Risk, Unlock Opportunity: Develop robust account plans and structure commercial deals that balance growth with risk mitigation
  • Foster a High-Performance Sales Culture: Lead, coach, and inspire a results-driven sales team to deliver strong client outcomes and business growth. Champion a customer-first mindset, drive accountability, and implement innovative go-to-market strategies to unlock new opportunities across both traditional and emerging segments

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with a strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams to deepen client relationships and drive revenue growth
  • Proven success managing complex commercial partnerships, ideally within payments, financial services, fintech, or digital ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of payment networks, schemes, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to navigate and influence within this landscape
  • Strong market knowledge of Indonesia’s financial, seller, and digital ecosystems, paired with a customer-obsessed, growth-oriented mindset
  • Strategic and analytical thinker who challenges the status quo, drives innovation, and inspires teams to exceed expectations
  • Collaborative leader with the ability to align cross-functional teams—including product, marketing, and client success—around cohesive go-to-market strategies
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to represent Visa’s voice in fintech, innovation, and strategic partnerships

What will also help:

  • Familiarity with the technical aspects of digital payment solutions to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Understanding of Visa’s Gen AI initiatives and their application in digital payments to stay ahead of industry trends and client needs
