Job Description
The Sr Director FP&A role partners directly with executive leaders in the Client Services organization. This role involves leading financial planning & analysis activities including partnering with the business to prioritize investments, managing revenue and expenses, and providing broad decision support analytics to assist business leaders in running their functions. The role requires strong executive communication, being embedded with multiple business teams with different value props and advising a variety of senior business leaders on financial management to achieve optimal business outcomes. The role requires regular collaboration with Global and Regional teams and requires effective performance with matrixed responsibilities.

The role involves delivering important insights to senior finance leaders and requires strong influencing skills. The Client Services organization and is actively involved in a number of complex corporate strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep background in financial and general business analysis, preferably with a public company, and demonstrated experience collaborating in a multifunctional and global organization.
Essential Functions
Strategic Planning and Analytics
- Be a senior finance SME and valued business partner to executive management of the supported Client Services teams
- Partner with executive team to develop long term financial plans
- Develop revenue and expense plans, based on strategic business requirements in partnership with senior leadership and influence optimal financial proposals and outcomes
- Develop and present strategic insights about business trends and key industry relationships
- Partner with business stakeholders to create business cases and analyze proposals - structure and execute complex financial modeling and analysis
- Identify and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operational decision making
Financial Management
- Lead preparation of the annual business plan and analysis of revenue and expense based on business objectives and requirements to inform expectations of performance
- Interpret and present financial results and business implications to senior leadership
- Enable management by providing timely, accurate information on financial implications of business activity and influence outcomes
- Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results to senior leaders in finance and business areas
Project Management
- Spearhead ad hoc projects to optimize the overall financial performance of the team and organization(s)
- Provide thought leadership and guidance over core processes building efficiencies and streamlining deliverables for optimal results
Team Leadership
- This role is a people leader and with direct reports. Success requires building a high performing team and coaching professionals.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering or relevant technical field
MBA strongly preferred
Investment banking and or management consulting strongly preferred
At least 12 years of professional experience with 5-7 years of relevant experience in a well-disciplined organization where best practices are integral to the management of the business
Experience leading a Financial Planning & Analysis (or similar) team with a thorough understanding of financial accounting and management reporting
Proactive, strategic thinker
Strong analytical and project management skills
Superior problem-solving skills with ability to communicate effectively with executive management
Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy and quality of output
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
Ability to work effectively with other functional areas and understand the operational and cultural issues relevant to achieving superior results
Client focused with tenacity to resolve issues and conflicts
High energy and enthusiasm required to partner with multiple stakeholders
Ability to make effective decisions a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, data drive recommendations to senior management
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $160,000 to $312,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
