Job Description
Visa’s Corporate IT is a community of problem solvers and innovators reshaping the future of how Visa employees operate. We operate the world’s most sophisticated processing networks capable of handling more than 65k secure transactions a second across 80M merchants, 15k Financial Institutions, and billions of everyday people. While working with us you’ll get to work on influencing strategy for all the third party vendors used in Visa Operations that powers all corporate applications.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Director role in the Technology Management Team entails building and leading a newly formed Demand and Spend Management function. This includes tracking the spend of all third-party vendor software and hardware products, reviewing consumption, vendor cost analysis and budgeting. The leader will be responsible for a team of analysts organized ensuring that all vendor deals and purchases are executed on time with the most favorable position for the company. In addition, this leader would also be involved in increasing Visa’s Azure cloud cost management capabilities and help achieve cost efficiencies. This role will also serve as the lead for Corporate tools Developer Experience initiatives.

- The work involves leading a team adhering to Visa’s leadership principles of leading courageously, obsessing about our customers, collaborating with other teams, and excelling in execution.
- The Demand management team will be responsible for partnering with different technology teams and align the technology strategy for each category and track vendors and their performance.
- This role is expected to collaborate closely with other partners in Corporate IT like End User tech, People Tech, HR Technology and Finance technologies.
- The leader will set the processes and guide the team of analysts to ensure proper diligence and fiscal responsibility for all third party CIT purchases.
- The leader will also be expected to represent demand management team in audits from both internal teams as well as external regulators.

Essential Functions
The Skills You Bring:
- Lead teams through different aspects of the Software SKU lifecycle from pre-procurement demand gathering, deal analysis, post procurement deployment tracking and support/maintenance renewal pipelines.
- Proficient knowledge of different software licensing metrics by vendors and ability to track deployments.
- Bring in strong mix of technical and analytical skills to influence the procurement decision for all of CIT
- Lead discussions and communicate regularly with senior leadership on technical issues, program status, and escalations.
- Proven track record of implementing consumption programs for software and automations
- Define and advocate a set of standard processes to offer a streamlined service to all Visa technology teams.
- Act as a technical liaison between Engineering teams, finance and sourcing.
- Work closely with cross-functional groups including internal stakeholders (Product Managers, Engineers, etc.), and external customers and vendors to formalize roadmaps & priorities.
- Lead by example, demonstrating accountability, and by contributing to departmental procedures, best practices, and standards.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Masters degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of software licensing for key vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the strategy and take a deal from inception to procurement and approvals
- 12 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)
- 5 years of experience in leading other teams or team of teams.
- Proven track record of managing Software Asset Management with extensive knowledge of software licensing for key vendors.
- Knowledge of cloud FinOps concepts and ability to compare costs
- Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 191,700.00 to 299,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
