They formulate strategies, improve processes, analyze data for insights, and spearheads initiatives to align the company's objectives with execution. The BizOps team serves as a vital link between the executive vision and operational execution, playing a significant role in the company's growth and success.

Job Description/Essential Functions

We are seeking a senior Strategy and Operations leader to spearhead growth strategies, oversee their implementation, and maintain superior operations within regional money movement ecosystems. This pivotal role will be responsible for creating new Directory Services solutions and enhancing existing ones, leveraging Visa's vast product catalog and cross-functional teams. This executive role will also involve shaping the strategy for directory services within the Money Movement Solutions organization.

The successful candidate will manage a team of operational, commercial, and analytical professionals to deliver money movement solutions. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and leverage potential areas for growth and profitability, using their market understanding and unique capabilities.

Internally, this role will necessitate coordination across numerous workstreams including Product, Technology, Commercial, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, Implementation, and Client Service. The successful candidate will need to collaborate cross-functionally, aligning these diverse teams towards our shared objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of managing complex initiatives, possess self-motivation and high organization skills, and cultivate positive internal and external relationships. They will be adaptable to a constantly changing landscape and adept at navigating among often conflicting interests.

  • Define strategy and vision for Directory Services in alignment with the broader MMS and Visa business strategy and objectives

  • Drive Directory Services-related operational initiatives, ensuring strategic optimizations are delivered efficiently and effectively.

  • Partner up with Commercial/Regional team in defining Directory Services monetization for regions with mandates

  • Act as the liaison between the Commercial/Regional teams and the MMS (Money Movement Solutions) product innovation team to bring new developments to market

  • Foster clarity and transparency for ecosystem participants, both internally and externally.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to senior management, while generating granular key business insights and performance reports.

  • Lead the development of playbooks for critical operational scenarios, operational rules, and communication protocols.

  • Drive adoption of operational best practices/patterns and governance models that ensure business excellence.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and finance, to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.

  • Drive transformational change within the organization by advocating for new ideas and approaches to enhance money movement solutions

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 12 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 6+ years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Strong executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, able to clearly communicate complex project requirements, achieve stakeholder buy-in, and keep stakeholders updated on project progress.
• Ability to function independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, effective and confident presentation skills.
• Enthusiastic support of the organization and influence others to commit to its mission and vision
• Ability to make timely decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness
• Ability to negotiate priorities across organizations as required, to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively, and to independently drive projects through to completion
• Be adept at diagnosing complex issues into clear problem statements, using data to confirm the scope and ensure the team is consistently approaching the most valuable problems to solve.
• Have an optimization mentality, continually tuning team processes and systems to deliver efficient and seamless workflows.
• Be a self-starter who takes accountability for getting things done.
• Excellent domain of Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 6+ years of experience
• Payment domain or FinTech experience is a major plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,800.00 to 256,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
