  • Help design, enhance and build Visa Developer Portal, Admin Portal and Visa Developer Platform (VDP) Core components in an agile development environment.
  • Play part of multiple teams tasked with multiple projects ranging from building full stack development of micro services, REST services API, and container based services to highly functional, secure, scalable and resilient systems.
  • Responsible for the creation of conceptual approach, technical analysis, design, development, unit testing, deploy and support activities.
  • Develop code that complies with design specifications and meets security and Java best practices.
  • Evaluate options and provide recommendation(s) on scope and scale of effort required to implement final requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to standards, best practices, and development methodologies.
  • Work as a member of a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining VOAP products.
  • Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates are in accordance with development standards.
  • Work on multiple projects and initiatives with different/competing timelines and demands.
  • Collaborate with business partners on requirements elaboration, design, configuration, and business re-engineering.
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with product vendors and systems integrators on delivery of solutions.
  • Work with delivery partners to review and finalize technical specifications, code review, and implementation related activities.
  • Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Software Engineer-related occupation.

 

  • At least one of the following: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices development, Restful API development, Oracle, MySQL, Maven, Design Patterns, or Test Automation Framework.
  • Writing clean, coherent code following established coding guidelines.
  • Solving complex software development and/or design issues.

Additional Information

WORKSITE:      Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $118,165.00 USD to $158,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
