Job Description
Pismo is Visa’s recent acquisition, providing a cutting-edge core banking and processing platform for card issuing, digital accounts, wallets, and other next-gen payment solutions. We are currently expanding into CEMEA to launch next generation products using Pismo’s resilient and innovative infrastructure.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a critical role in the rapid expansion of Pismo across CEMEA. Working as part of a small but growing team with a start-up mentality, and supported by strong global teams, you will use your breadth of product management, leadership, and delivery skills to drive the expansion of Pismo services. You will work hands-on with clients and support other client-facing teams, keeping in mind evolving market, client, and consumer needs with the objective of driving significant future CEMEA market growth for Visa.
This role reports to the Head of Issuing Solutions VAS in CEMEA and will cover all markets across the region, closely collaborating with Issuing Solutions sales and sales engineering, global teams, and Pismo.
The key objectives for the role:
Define the regional expansion strategy and GTM for Pismo by assessing the market opportunity, business case and growth potential for Core Banking and Processing services. Collaborate with Pismo and regional teams to guarantee the platform’s market readiness while taking into account local legal and regulatory requirements. Support and design business models and develop regional roadmaps, ensure integration with Visa or partner capabilities.
Key responsibilities/accountabilities
Contribute to implementing a regional strategy, ensuring alignment with global and enterprise objectives over a multiyear period.
Prioritize and execute commercial goals for Pismo during the CEMEA expansion in collaboration with essential stakeholders locally and globally.
Identify and execute upgrades to Pismo to address evolving client needs, local market conditions, and foster innovations beneficial to both clients and Visa.
Motivate, challenge, and mentor the team to enhance their problem-solving and product management abilities.
Support competitive analysis, customer insights, and market studies with market-facing teams to aid the development of new features and capabilities.
Play a significant role in assessing new market opportunities and potential partnerships, including alternative sales models (e.g. through System Integrators)
Influence budget and financial planning by offering insights into potential revenue opportunities and associated costs.
Develop and execute continuous training programs and provisioning of information materials to help market teams effectively sell and deploy Pismo and supporting VAS products.
Prepare and deliver presentations and documentation for both internal and external audiences through working groups, webinars, and other formats regarding product ownership.
Promote Pismo by building extensive internal partnerships within Visa across various functions regionally.
Effectively collaborate with a diverse set of Visa teams, including but not limited to Visa Consulting and Analytics, Marketing, Legal, Corporate Communications, Finance, Client Services and others to achieve company goals.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA).
• Experience in the payments industry, preferably in product management or strategy at an Issuer, Issuer Processor, or Core banking platform provider
• Understanding of Issuer Core Banking & Processing, related regulations, and market competitiveness across CEMEA.
• Proven leadership in driving solution delivery and creating commercial & revenue opportunities based on market and client demand.
• Expertise in scaling and distributing products/services within a technology company, with a focus on overcoming commercial, technical, industry, and internal challenges.
