Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Manager to join our Product & Payment Services Risk (PPSR) function. As Senior Manager, you will own the regional Risk Operating Plan, leading the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for risk managers, ensuring alignment with global objectives while delivering measurable improvements in risk governance, operational excellence, and customer experience.

In this role, you will work across regions with risk leaders, product teams, sales, and other business units to identify, assess, and implement initiatives that strengthen our payment services and product risk posture. You will also be responsible for other high-impact PPSR strategic initiatives, driving innovation and best practice adoption across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Risk Leadership

  • Develop, own, and execute the Risk Operating Plan in alignment with global PPSR priorities.
  • Lead the GTM strategy for risk managers, ensuring consistent positioning, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of risk priorities as it pertains to fraud management.
  • Drive additional strategic PPSR initiatives such as framework enhancements, modernization, and risk technology enablement.
  • Build, evolve and own dashboard reporting and deliver timely data driven insights.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product teams to embed fraud risk considerations into product design, development, and lifecycle management.
  • Work with sales and commercial teams to facilitate risk considerations as part of the client engagement model.
  • Coordinate with regional and global risk leaders to share best practices and harmonize approaches.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex risk insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver training and enablement for risk managers to strengthen capability and consistency for external client engagements, while equipping internal risk partners with refreshed training materials.

Risk Identification & Operational Excellence

  • Conduct targeted risk assessments to address emerging threats in payment services and product offerings.
  • Lead process improvement programs leveraging data insights, industry benchmarks, and regulatory trends.
  • Champion AI, technology and innovation in risk management to improve detection, prevention, and resolution capabilities

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • 1-2 years business experience in Payments/ Banking / Consulting organizations.
  • Knowledge of Visa’s Risk and Fraud Management Solutions is a plus
  •  Visa and Payments industry experience will be considered as an asset but not essential
  • Track record of developing and communicating execution plans, building relationships across global teams and key stakeholders to achieve business goals
  • Must have a Can do attitude and will do what it takes in order to move a program forward
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business issues and solutions to a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamica, PowerBI and AI tools
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting materials and POV
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, and deliver under tight deadlines/time frames
  • Ability to work independently within a complex and often ambiguous environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and synthesize data

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 130,600.00 to 233,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
