Job Description
Purpose of the Role
A Senior Full Stack Developer is a pivotal software development role, working within a cohesive cross-discipline scrum team on the product backlog. You will be working alongside developers of intermediate and senior ability, as well as other team members and consultants.
This role requires a dedication to technical excellence, not only in writing code, but also in team-collaboration, testing, documentation. Good communication skills are essential, as well as a “can-do” attitude and willingness to work across various disciplines if required.
You will be part of a team who are growing the capabilities and services in the Visa Spend Clarity to deliver scalable and robust solutions that will take Visa Spend Clarity to more customers and users around the globe. With an engineering group of nearly 300 people, Visa Spend Clarity is a key focus area with large growth ambitions driven by customer needs and a desire to innovate using modern cloud technologies.

Areas of Accountability
As part of this role, you will:
- Develop .NET, SQL, and related front-end code (ReactJS)
- Participate in technical design in collaboration with other developers, architects, and UX designers
- Peer review code
- Follow coding style standards and guidelines
- Use Test Driven Development techniques
- Write unit and integration automation tests
- Write documentation.
- Share knowledge sharing with other team members
- Practice agile scrum methodology
- Contribute to improving team Agile processes
- Participate in active learning with an open mind
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- A good understanding of the Microsoft technology stack and how it could relate to Visa Spend Clarity
- Proficient in:
- C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server
- .NET MVC 5, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, TypeScript
- AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS), serverless/cloud-native architectures
- Familiar with:
- Design patterns (CQRS, MVC, MVVM), DDD, TDD, SOLID principles
- Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot), source control (Git), CI/CD
- Experience in:
- Multi-tenant SaaS, transactional/financial systems
- Agile (Scrum/Kanban), regulated environments
- Greenfield and legacy systems, platform development
- Troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Tertiary qualifications and certifications preferred
