Job Description

Visa Direct is one of Visa’s fastest-growing businesses, enabling real-time money movement for individuals and businesses globally. As we expand across multiple client segments and use cases, we are seeking a Senior Director to lead the evolution of our deal strategy and execution processes in North America.

This role will be instrumental in enhancing the quality, speed, and scalability of commercial deals by developing best-in-class frameworks, coaching sales teams, and driving cross-functional alignment. This leader will play a critical role in shaping how Visa Direct delivers value to clients through efficient, strategic, and repeatable deal structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain standard pricing frameworks and templates for commercial frameworks, that are consistently applied and balance complexity with expected revenue expectations, to accelerate deal approvals and contracting.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Product to align on strategic commercial terms and ensure a common understanding and consistent use across similar deal-types.
  • Coach and train sales teams on deal strategy, structure, and quality, enabling them to craft compelling, client-centric proposals.
  • Establish a deal quality review program and maintain a repository of best practices, templates, and negotiation strategies to continuously improve deal effectiveness and reduce rework.
  • Drive consistency and improve quality of deal terms submitted into contracting to improve time to client ready first draft, accelerating time to revenue and improving the seller, stakeholder (legal and finance) and client experience.
  • Establish governance framework to ensure changes made to contract and commercial frameworks are implemented in a disciplined manner with appropriate stakeholder input and approvals. 
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to sales teams, especially for emerging or smaller-scale opportunities, offering guidance on deal structure, pricing, and positioning.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across Visa Direct and broader NA teams to ensure alignment on deal strategy and execution
  • Define and track KPIs to measure deal process efficiency, seller enablement, and client satisfaction. Present insights regularly to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual deal processes and leverage AI, CRM and reporting tools to enhance visibility and performance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of streamlined deal processes that support Visa Direct’s growth across diverse client segments and use cases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive adoption of new processes and frameworks.
  • Lead initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring seamless integration of deal strategy improvements across teams.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
• 10+ years of experience in commercial strategy, deal desk, sales operations, or business development.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
• Deep understanding of pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and sales enablement in a high-growth environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, and Product.
• Strong communication and coaching skills, able to influence and inspire at all levels.
• Proven ability to build scalable processes and frameworks in a dynamic, fast-paced business.
• Fintech, payments, or technology industry experience strongly preferred.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 188,400.00 to 273,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
