Job Description

Visa is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Global Interchange Team, with a dedicated focus on supporting the Commercial and Money Movement Team globally. This individual contributor role will play a critical part in evaluating interchange rate changes, supporting new commercial product initiatives, and developing custom merchant pricing strategies. This role will also contribute to the development and execution of global commercial deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Commercial and Money Movement Team to support region-specific proposals and pricing strategies tailored to commercial clients.
  • Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to benchmark Visa’s interchange structures, commercial product offerings, and pricing strategies against key competitors. 
  • Monitoring public filings, industry reports, and third-party data sources.
  • Analyzing competitor rate structures, incentives, and commercial product positioning.
  • Synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations for Visa’s commercial strategy.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate the impact of interchange changes and custom pricing for issuers, acquirers, and merchants.
  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing performance review of global commercial deals.
  • Extract and analyze large datasets using VisaNet and other internal data sources to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Tools & Technologies:

  • SQL (e.g., Hive, Presto) for querying large datasets.
  • Excel and Power BI for financial modeling and dashboard creation.
  • Python or R for advanced data analysis and visualization (preferred).
  • Tableau for interactive reporting and data storytelling.
  • Market intelligence platforms (e.g., Euromonitor, McKinsey Insights, CB Insights) for competitor and industry analysis.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with regional interchange teams, product managers, finance, and strategy to align commercial priorities and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Commercial and Money Movement Team, providing analytical support and market insights to inform decision-making.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to support the development of new commercial products and pricing strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by sharing best practices, tools, and insights across global teams.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 129,200.00 to 187,350.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
