About the Role

Visa is seeking a Product Manager to lead the evolution of our mission-critical user management and API Gateway that powers the Visa Acceptance Platform – a global system supporting 160+ countries and 350+ processor connections with 99.999% availability for authorization flows.

As we scale our platform to support a growing portfolio of products across Visa’s Acceptance ecosystem, user management and the API Gateway will be a key enabler for reliability, flexibility, and speed to market.

This is a high-impact, strategic role within Visa’s Global Product organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the roadmap for the user management, aligning it with product needs across the Visa Acceptance Platform.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product leads, engineering, architecture, and global market teams to scale API and user management capabilities.
  • Ensure enterprise-grade reliability, security, and performance, meeting the demands of mission-critical authorization flows.
  • Define and evolve platform APIs and user management patterns to support both internal and external product integration.
  • Drive adoption of user management across new and existing Visa Acceptance products.
  • Partner with the Platform Reliability and SRE teams to uphold SLAs and platform standards.
  • Provide product leadership in stakeholder forums and technical working groups.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 5–8 years of product management experience, with a focus on API platforms, gateways, user management or large-scale backend infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of managing enterprise-scale platforms with strict availability and latency requirements.
  • Deep understanding of API design, authentication models, rate limiting, user management, policies and API observability. 
  • Comfortable working with global teams, balancing technical depth with stakeholder alignment.
  • Prior experience with payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure is a strong plus.
  • Clear communicator who can align business and technical teams around a shared vision

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
