Job Description
The Pismo Lending Group is responsible for building a world class API-based Lending Product that manages the entire lifecycle of loans from its simulation until its completion. With a special focus on product creation and lifecycle management, our Lending Product aims to offer a competitive advantage in being innovative and agile to a variety of financial institution customers. The product leverages best-in-class technology assets in building a cloud-native microservices platform, offering our customers the most technologically advanced solution in lending thereby driving innovation, and business growth.

As part of the Pismo Lending Group, we are looking for a dynamic Product Manager / Owner who will be reporting to the Group Product Manager and working closely with Product Specialist in the UK. The Product Manager / Owner should have worked in the lending domain and is comfortable working in the areas of APIs and cloud-based platforms.
The main responsibilities of this role are:
- Understand business requirements from a variety of stakeholders
- Evaluate, map, record intakes and requirements that can deliver value for the Lending platform target customer segments
-Generate artifacts that convert intakes into clear and concise requirements (User Stories, Customer Journeys, Workflows, One Pagers, Presentations, Spreadsheets...).
- Maintain product backlog and roadmap organised according to prioritisation from market, business and internal demands - seeking to optimize delivery of value to customers (current and future) and to Pismo.
- Build quarterly milestones for the product roadmap and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in testing and validating features built for the lending product.
- Drive communications and alignments with Engineers, QA Analysts, Product Specialists, Pre-Sales, Sales and Customers.
- Exercise self-directed leadership within the lending team.
- Be the go-to person for the functional capabilities of the Lending platform
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- The candidate needs to be based in the UK
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor`s Degree
At least 2 years of working experience in a Lending Product such as Personal Loans, BNPL, Car Loans or Mortgages.
Previous experience in an agile environment (familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Miro and other commonly used Agile tools)
Working knowledge of APIs, Postman and AWS cloud computing
Experience working closely with technology teams and a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Experience with functional tests
Great Communication Skills
Willingness to Learn and to Teach
Native English / Up to C1 English (Advanced)
Desirable Qualifications
Previous experience as Platform Product Manager or Technical Product Manager
Worked in Global Core Banking/Lending Environments
