Job Description

Why this is important to Visa 

This Product Manager role will be a critical member of Visa Commercial Solution’s Global Product team, focused on the Visa Commercial Pay (VCP) solution.  This individual will lead VCP’s engagement across the Asia Pacific region and will be located within Visa’s Singapore regional headquarters.  The role will serve as a VCP subject matter expert, helping to engage in technical sales discussions, business development initiatives, enhancement evaluation and overall product optimization efforts.  They will also closely coordinate with the regional product team to drive growth and expansion of the VCP solution across the AP region.

Day to day, the Product Manager will: 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert across the Visa Commercial Pay solution, understanding all of its use cases, process flows, and set-up requirements. 

  • Establish strong business relationship and interaction across the AP regional teams (e.g., Regional product, sales, client management, country leads).  Engage with them to actively assist in product training, technical sales discussions, solution enhancement evaluation and prioritization and overall optimization of the VCP solution across the region. 

  • Lead product-related initiatives or major workstreams, including managing the day-to-day VCP-related efforts across the AP region, including establishing clear goals, prioritizing initiatives and working across the regional and global teams to deliver results. 

  • Distill ambiguous, pressing problems or opportunities that VCP presents across the AP region and help lead the effort to develop clear, cross-functional plans of action to address 

  • Drive rigorous, fact based, quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations or potential scenarios, ensuring strategic and financial soundness and alignment 

  • Serve as a proactive and strong advocate for both the VCP solution overall as well as for any specific goals, needs across the AP Region.  This involves staying actively aligned with the Global team, partnering with Conferma Pay and balancing both global and regional priorities.  

  • Develop clear, concise and ongoing communications across the AP Region covering the VCP solution.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

 

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be proactive, highly motivated and able to effectively work across multiple areas (e.g., sales, development, technical product knowledge). He or she must be able to quickly build relationships across all departments and all levels, identifying the best course of action, and know how to motivate a diverse set of stakeholders to act cohesively and productively in pursuit of aligned goals.

What you will need:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD)
  • Commercial Payments experience or direct knowledge
  • Product development and product management experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin as the role will require effective communication with clients and partners in Taiwan and China
  • Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry
  • Financial product development and product management experience.
  • Aptitude for ramping up quickly across product capabilities and an ability to facilitate sales discussions and related training / business development efforts.
  • Ability to independently structure, lead and execute complex projects and processes, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems and stakeholders
  • Ability to discern the key pieces of information and needed next steps from a wide range of opinions and data points to keep moving a project forward
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with functional and regional leaders within Visa
  • Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
