Job Description

Visa Direct is a payment service that enables clients—including financial institutions, processors, merchants, and service providers—to send funds globally using push payment technology. Its applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfers, micro-business payouts, and funds disbursements, in a market valued at over $80 trillion globally.

As part of the North America Visa Direct Client & Product Solutions team, the Product Delivery Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery of Visa products, from concept to launch, while ensuring alignment with business needs and delivery with the highest quality. We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual who is eager to learn and can excel both independently and as part of the team. This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners, manages the product backlog, prioritizes features, and ensures product strategy supports overall business goals. The right candidate will be able to combine successful product development process experience with effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and technical skills. The role demands strong analytical, collaborative, strategic, and technical product skills, as well as strong payments industry knowledge, market analysis skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively across a matrixed organization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

  • Project & Delivery Management: Plan, coordinate, and drive requirements for North America Visa Direct product features, overseeing project delivery from initial concept through production. Ensure the execution of deliverables across multiple teams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, dependencies, and impacts.
  • Product Development Lifecycle: Manage North America product initiatives by partnering with global product development teams through all phases of the delivery lifecycle, utilizing agile methodologies to guide deployment in the market and ensure timely delivery.

  • Backlog & Requirements Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with strategic business vision. Gather, translate, and document business needs into clear, actionable use case stories, including wireframing product concepts as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the business representative, overseeing project team progress, and addressing or escalating issues as they arise. Collaborate closely with internal support and sales teams to collect customer feedback, educate stakeholders, and resolve product-related issues.
  • Go-to-Market Leadership: Drive go-to-market initiatives by working cross-functionally with program management, global product managers, finance, operations, legal, compliance, and external stakeholders as required.

  • Advocacy & Representation: Champion regional and customer perspectives, ensuring their views are incorporated into global product initiatives.
  • Critical Thinking & Communication: Demonstrate strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Foster effective collaboration across organizations, while communicating with clarity and conviction.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 4 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in product management, product development, and payments processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and deep dive into technical details.
  • Knowledge of Foreign Exchange and utilization within a payments environment
  • Knowledge of Domestic and Cross-border payments, licensing & compliance
  • Knowledge of Domestic and Cross-border funding (receivables/collections)
  • Knowledge of multi-currency accounts and unique account issuance solutions
  • Experience with/Knowledge of CurrencyCloud.
  • Experience with the SDLC and leading Initiatives.
  • Possess good knowledge of RTP, ACH processing, bulk payments, and card schemes.
  • Experience with direct interaction with clients in terms of product and/or technical solution engagements.
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-enterprise projects and processes.
  • Fluency in PowerPoint, Excel and JIRA.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills.
