The Pricing Strategy Manager will be a member of Visa’s European Pricing Strategy team. The team plays a key role in shaping Visa’s broader regional commercial strategy through a well thought out pricing strategy. The Pricing Strategy Manager will lead and support various projects related to Visa’s pricing strategy and broader corporate initiatives, including collaborating with business lines across Regional and Functional areas. Projects will vary in sponsor, business or strategic focus, depth, and stakeholder served, ranging from broad coordination efforts across multiple functional areas to focused assignments for senior management that are of particularly high strategic importance to Visa.

The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems, and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive corporate priorities.

The Manager will, normally, be based at Visa's offices in London, United Kingdom.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identify, prioritize, and execute the activities required to support Visa’s Pricing strategies, priorities, and special initiative projects
  • Create data presentations & dashboards to support data driven decision making
  • Develop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative and qualitative analysis to formulate and support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations
  • Develop pricing models and associated commercialisation options to drive better product and service business decisions.
  • Work within cross-functional and Global project teams to solve corporate business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues
  • Build and maintain business landscape knowledge and competitive intelligence, to provide solid foundational context for critical strategic projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, Statistics or Finance or similar academic experience
  • 4-5 years of experience ideally gained at a top-tier management consulting, investment banking or within the payments industry
  • Advanced user of excel and power point, as that would be the “bread-and-butter” of the role
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, often with significant time constraints
  • Able to lead and build rigorous, robust analysis that support recommendations to senior management or regional management
  • Able to storyboard presentations, as well as clearly develop and communicate compelling recommendations to senior leadership
  • A strong proactive and “can do” attitude, with the ability to prioritize workflow based on business need.
