About the Team

Visa’s Global Interchange Data team is on a mission to transform how data powers decision-making across the Interchange organization. We build scalable infrastructure, intelligent data products, and AI-driven tools that streamline reporting, enhance accessibility, and unlock productivity.

What You’ll Do

Engineer Scalable Data Systems: Maintain and optimize backend infrastructure, build datamarts, and implement modular pipelines using tools such as Hive, Spark, Airflow.

Automate Insight Delivery: Design dynamic dashboards and automated reporting systems tailored to user roles, delivering timely insights.

Apply AI & ML: Create models for forecasting and anomaly detection. Build GenAI tools and chatbots to automate routine tasks.

Champion Governance: Standardize data fields, implement retention strategies, and ensure compliance with classification protocols.

Collaborate & Innovate: Work cross-functionally with Tech, Data Science, and Interchange teams to deliver impactful solutions.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 2+ years in data engineering or data science
  • Relevant university degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, software engineering or related disciplines
  • Hands-on experience working with large data sets
  • Strong coding skills in Python, SQL
  • Proficiency in Power BI / Tableau for dashboarding and reporting
  • Experience in developing ML models and working with GenAI
  • Curious and forward-thinking, embraces new tools to solve business problems
