Job Description

What’s it all about?

As a key member of the European Hub Marketing Services team, this Senior Manager will concentrate on advancing business development opportunities across Europe, under the leadership of the Head of Business Development in Marketing Services. Marketing Services, a rapidly expanding division within Visa, delivers substantial value to clients through a comprehensive suite of services. This includes the end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, achieved through close collaboration with Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA), Marketing (Insights & Analytics, Activation & Usage, Sponsorship), and our sales organizations. The European Marketing Services regional hub team is dedicated to supporting local marketing teams by disseminating best practices, creating training and communication materials, and fostering key strategies to drive business growth.

This role is centered on business development, with responsibilities including leading and analyzing the EU business development pipeline across Europe to ensure visibility and representing the EU in the Global Marketing Services Center of Excellence. Additionally, the Manager will spearhead key strategic projects, such as overseeing the project management of the monthly newsletter and coordinating between the EU Hub and Global Marketing Services’ Hub for the creation of vital marketing collateral for the broader region.

This is a distinctive role requiring advanced problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, executive presence, and a strong commitment to enhancing how marketing drives value for our business. If you are analytical, creative, detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we are eager to discuss this opportunity with you.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Commercialization: Create sales forecasts and pipeline to actively work towards reaching them with our cluster teams driving commercial opportunities across Europe through marketing services.
  • Process Optimization: Audit, evaluate and recommend ways to improve our internal processes to support the centralization of our ways of working while actively participating in pitches, RFPs and strategic initiatives with new and existing clients.
  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Partner with the Global Marketing Services team to develop market-ready collateral for all stages of client engagement (prospecting, formal RFP response, pitch deck) for agreed set plays.
  • Information Management: Possess a strong understanding of our brand, products, capabilities and the competition in the industry to inform how we should position and communicate our offering across multiple use cases.
  • Training and Distribution: Lead the creation and distribution of sales training materials and capabilities to enable and upskill our local market teams for upcoming business development opportunities.
  • Value Proposition Development: Contribute to the development of value propositions for key business development proposals in collaboration with other functions, showcasing the value of marketing services for key customer audiences (i.e GenZ, Affluent, UHNW, SMB’s)
  • External Communications & Third Party Management: Outline key opportunities to drive awareness around our service line through targeted ads, events and stakeholder management. When these opportunities are outlined, work with in-house and agency partners to develop the relevant collateral for each use case.
