Within VCA exists VCA Implementation Services (VIS), a hands-on execution partner, implementing, operating, and optimizing Visa products in client environments to accelerate activation, portfolio growth, risk control, and data-driven performance.

We are seeking a highly motivated Manager to plan, lead, and execute client facing strategic projects within our Execution Services team. The ideal candidate combines strong project program management discipline with deep, hands-on payments industry expertise. You will flex between strategic planning and day to  day delivery, partnering with cross functional teams across geographies to implement Visa products, optimize operations, and accelerate time to  value for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio and Project Leadership
    • Lead a portfolio of multi workstream execution projects for issuers, acquirers, processors, fintech's, and merchants, establish scope, objectives, milestones, budgets, and risk plans.
    • Stand up governance (PMO), cadence, and decision forums, maintain logs and ensure issue resolution and escalation management.
    • Translate consulting recommendations into executable roadmaps and detailed action plans, tracking benefits realization and KPIs.
  • Payments Implementation and Delivery
    • Orchestrate implementation of Visa products and services (e.g., card issuance, digital onboarding, tokenization, wallets, risk and authentication solutions, acceptance enablement, value added services).
    • Coordinate business, operations, and technology workstreams.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as primary day to day lead with client sponsors and stakeholders, build trusted relationships and ensure alignment to objectives and success metrics.
    • Liaise across Visa regional and global teams (product, analytics, risk, technology, operations) and with third party vendors and processors to deliver integrated solutions.
    • Provide clear executive ready status reporting, insights, and recommendations to drive decisions and remove blockers.
  • Leadership and Performance
  • Track and report project KPIs, analyze results to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Product Enablement and Use Case Development
    • Identify and prioritize client use cases that leverage Visa capabilities to drive measurable outcomes (activation, spend, acceptance, risk reduction, cost efficiency).

Required Experience and Skills

  • Payments industry expertise is mandatory 
    • End to  end knowledge of card payments value chains across issuing, acquiring, and merchant acceptance.
    • Understanding of payment processing platforms, authorization clearing  settlement flows, tokenization, 3DS and authentication, dispute and chargeback processes, or risk and fraud controls.
  • Project and Program Management
    • 6+ years of progressive experience leading complex, cross functional technology and business implementations, consulting or PMO background preferred.
    • Demonstrated success delivering multi market or multi entity programs with defined benefits and KPIs.
    • Proficiency in project tools and methods (charters, workplans, financial tracking, stakeholder management). Agile delivery exposure is a plus.
  • Technical and Analytical
    • Ability to understand solution architecture, APIs integration patterns, data flows, and dependencies between business and technology.
    • Strong analytical skills to synthesize data into insights
  • Communication and Influence
    • Excellent verbal and written communication, able to explain complex technical concepts in business terms tailored to varied audiences.
    • Strong facilitation and influencing skills to align internal external stakeholders and drive decisions.

  • Travel   Willingness to travel within Central America and the Caribbean based on project needs.
  • What Success Looks Like
  • On time, on budget launches with measurable client impact (e.g., activation, spend, approval rate lift, fraud loss reduction, cost to  serve improvements).
  • High client satisfaction and repeat engagements.
  • Scaled use cases, reusable playbooks, and continuous improvement embedded across VIS delivery.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field MBA is a plus.
  • Senior level experience in strategy execution and project management with proven deliveries, experience translating consulting outputs into executable plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), project tools (e.g., Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence, MS Project) a plus.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated average salary for a new hire into this position is 125,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
