As one of the 4 Business units withing VAS, Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS), help prevent fraud across the entire payment journey, across all payment endpoints and networks—without stopping the flow of business. The Strategy & Business Operations team partners with RaIS leadership to: (1) develop and refine the overarching strategy of the business unit, (2) design and manage a cohesive operating plan, and (3) address matters that require executive attention.

The role will support the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Operations across a range of strategy, operations, and planning activities. Time spent on these areas will shift based on business needs. The Manager will own workstreams of key strategic initiatives (e.g., long-range strategy development, portfolio diagnostics, client and leadership forums) and ensure the RaIS leadership team is equipped with the data and insights to meet growth imperatives.
The Manager will support the Risk & Identity organization as a whole, driving operational excellence and serve as a resource for process, data, and organizational effectiveness. You’ll work horizontally, scaling the frameworks, tools, and processes that empowers the Business Unit and Product Managers to deliver exceptional products efficiently. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building the connective tissue that enables high-performing product organizations.

What we expect of you day-to-day:
Support overall forward-looking RaIS strategy and narrative based themes, trends, and emerging customer needs developed via close collaboration with RaIS leadership, global and regional product teams, marketing and sales/relationship teams, and Risk.
Work with team leadership to construct and maintain a coherent view of market opportunity and our ability to address them by customer segment and region, incorporating market/competitive intelligence, and customer insights/VOC, and potential threats.
Lead and Support workstreams/projects related to long-range strategy development and assessment of significant organic and inorganic opportunities to evaluate and identify growth levers.
Process Optimization: Implement, and continually refine core processes and best practices that support product planning, prioritization, and execution across all product teams
Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.
Define and track key performance metrics to measure the success of product initiatives.
Structure and solve a wide array of business problems by collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders. Organize and prioritize critical information, issues, and data to facilitate efficient decision making. Build out unique, creative, and impactful recommendations.
Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional teams and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way
Support RaIS senior leadership team by developing thought leadership for internal executive meetings and external client councils / forums
Manage day-to-day project and/or team activities to meet milestones and timelines
Support individual product strategies as needed
Support integration of product capabilities from acquisitions/partnerships as needed.
Perform ad-hoc analysis
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry preferred
- 5+ years of experience in product operations, program management, management consulting, or business operations, ideally supporting Product teams in a technology environment
Business Acumen
- Strong command of financial, market and consumer data and frameworks with the ability to grasp and distill complex issues.
- Prior experience with business strategy and business operations
- Deep understanding of product development processes and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with build/buy/partner analysis and inorganic/organic growth analysis

- Excellent analytical skills and experience cleaning, evaluating, joining and drawing conclusions from multiple data sets.
- Structured thinker with robust conceptual thinking skills.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,900 to 160,650 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
