Job Description

Seeking a dynamic and seasoned Enterprise Sales Specialist with a focus on the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have substantial sales and solutioning experience and a profound understanding of in-store, online, mobile payment omnichannel solutions, the software development lifecycle, and merchant, processor and acquirer processing dynamics. This candidate must be able to comprehend and navigate the unique challenges presented by retail merchant clients and translate them into strategic solutions with demonstrably high ROI for the prospects and existing clients. This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including prospecting, driving client-facing conversations, securing sales opportunities, complex contract and price negotiations, meeting bookings and revenue goals across digital B2B capabilities, and building robust client relationships. The candidate must have a history of exceptional client-facing interactions and a demonstrable track record of success in an enterprise sales role.

Internally, the role requires collaboration with a diverse array of cross-functional teams, including Generalist Sellers, Sales Engineers, Specialist Sellers, Global and Regional Product, Legal, Sales Operations Commercialization, Finance, and Marketing teams.

This is a hybrid role, with expectations of 3 days in office and client facing and internal travel as necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive and achieve bookings and revenue targets for Visa Acceptance Solutions through the acquisition of net-new customers or upsell to existing clients.
  • Tailor and present proposals, presentations, and other sales materials that highlight Visa Acceptance Solutions’ capabilities, advantages, and value analysis to address client needs.
  • Develop close collaboration with Generalist Account Executives and Account Managers to drive awareness of our Visa Acceptance Solutions products and increase bookings.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close complex enterprise deals, meeting or exceeding client needs and achieving revenue and margin targets.
  • Marshall, brief, plan, and guide expert resources from other departments to supplement and drive successful client discussions.
  • Deliver on-site and virtual sales pitches and client renewals through presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and relationship-building activities.
  • Actively prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities across assigned prospect and client lists, building relationships with executives and key influencers.
  • Ensure a high level of client and prospect satisfaction through proactive outreach with relevant insights and consistent, clear, and actionable follow-up communications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates on sales activities in Microsoft Dynamics, offering insight into opportunity progress, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal client experience and continuous product improvement.
  • Provide input into the design and implementation of sales collateral, marketing, and promotional activities to ensure increased awareness of VAS objectives and priorities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Unique ability to craft solutions that support a client’s strategy while maintaining focus on the important details of the selling, contracting, and technical validation process that will drive a deal to closure and lead to projected revenue achievement.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles and manage large, complex deal negotiations with strategic clients, with a track record of meeting or exceeding enterprise sales targets.
  • Ability to understand and take into consideration customers' business and industry trends to present end-to-end solutions that meet their needs and solve their problems.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and collaboration skills to influence direction and change attitudes/decisions of senior-level decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated usage and understanding of sales methodologies, Microsoft Office and Dynamics software for pipeline management and advancement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment.
  • Comfortable and experienced working in a continuously evolving environment with global reach.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of the payment ecosystem, specifically merchant-side payment technology needs, including key players, channels, partners, competition, and trends.
  • Thorough knowledge of Visa Acceptance Solutions, including the ability to describe how capabilities can solve merchant client requirements.
  • Ability to generate organizational momentum through creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
  • Flexibility to support and work across multiple time zones to accommodate North American and, at times, Global opportunities.
  • Ability to travel to conferences and client meetings.
