  • Be responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of one or more large/complex projects, programs and agile teams.
  • Lead and negotiate scope, schedule, budget, risks, deployments and communications for all sizes of projects, initiatives, and programs.
  • Remove obstacles delaying projects from delivering against objectives.
  • Build effective partner and stakeholder relationships through excellent communication and facilitation.
  • Lead implementation of Visa’s Project Management Methodology (PMM) and Agile Methodology (AM2) required project gates and artifacts.
  • Lead reviews, sizing and estimation of work based on One Pagers, Epics or mandatory requirements for Annual Operating Planning.
  • Navigate and facilitate technical solutions discussion for artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
  • Partner with business teams to flesh out requirements and help translate those requirements for the technical team.
  • Partner with business and technical leadership to develop and manage multi-year platform roadmaps.
  • Coach multiple teams through the software development life cycle using Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices and work cross-functionally throughout the company to ensure projects are developed and deployed with quality and timely delivery into our production systems.
  • Teach others about the architectural and technical aspects of all Data Platform and DevOps projects.
  • Create and lead project management office (PMO), Business Management Office (BMO), and Resource Management (RM) relevant improvement initiatives.
  • Position reports to the Employer’s Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, followed by 12 years of experience in job offered or in an IT Project management-related occupation. CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or IC Agile certification is required.

 

  • Working with technical teams developing software solutions, including acting as a Scrum Master, Kanban, or Agile Coach.
  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning, database, and big data stacks.
  • Project Management Methodology.
  • Experience in Product Management to help Product Managers from ideate to launch a new product

Additional Information

WORKSITE:      Foster City, CA                

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $163,800.00 USD to $262,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
