Job Description

The Opportunity

In this role you will motivate the team to ensure delivery of the required standards of excellence and performance. Supporting the continued personal and professional development of all team members. You will lead the team to ensure that resources (people, technological, etc.) and processes are appropriate to the required standards of operation, cost-efficiency, best practice, and performance. You will work with Engineering Management and Product to plan and size new product features for future releases, and have responsibility for team level prioritisation and scheduling of work whilst providing higher-level status updates and take operational responsibility.

This is a hybrid position, we therefore require 3 days per week in the Cambridge office.

Qualifications

Required experience:

  • Extensive software engineering and IT experience, leading teams.
  • Proven track record of success in leadership positions.
  • Ability to deal with multiple concurrent issues, bringing a sense of calm when situations require.
  • Exceptional project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience fostering good engineering practices and processes.
