Job Description
- Lead the development and execution of a global Gov Tech strategy, working across four priority archetypes: Digital Government Platforms, Software Solution Providers, FinTechs, and Sectorial Solution Providers. These archetypes might evolve over time.
- Identify and prioritise high-potential Gov Tech partners and partnership opportunities in collaboration with regional and market-level teams.
- Build customised sales engagement models, including discovery processes and partnership frameworks tailored to each Gov Tech archetype.
- Develop and maintain strategic and tactical account plans for targeted Gov Tech partners to drive business growth and meet VGS commercial targets.
- Lead commercial modelling and partnership deal development for global Gov Tech partners.
- Collaborate closely with VGS Regional Partnership leads and internal stakeholders to drive the execution of Gov Tech strategies, ensure alignment, and share best practices.
- Create sales collateral, presentations, and training materials to enable regional and local sales teams to effectively engage with Gov Tech partners.
- Identify and share relevant Gov Tech sales opportunities, RFIs, and RFPs, supporting the end-to-end response process as needed.
- Capture partner use cases and requirements to inform VGS product and solution roadmaps, ensuring Gov Tech needs are represented in future offerings.
- Work with marketing and communications teams to position Visa Government Solutions as a leader in digital payments for the Gov Tech sector.
- Continuously monitor the Gov Tech market landscape, identifying trends, new partnership models, and innovative approaches to accelerate business growth.
- Proactively address and resolve complex challenges that may impact the success of Gov Tech partnerships and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Successful experience of working in a Gov Tech or digital organisation is essential
- Proven ability to drive the VGS Gov Tech partnership agenda and strategy globally, collaborating with key VGS and VISA stakeholders across solutions, Sales Excellence, and regional teams
- Strong technical and commercial acumen to identify the opportunity to embed Visa solutions within or alongside the Gov Tech capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience of building successful partnership deals in this sector
- Ability to prioritise and deliver key initiatives, executing with agility in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
- Proficiency in managing partner relationships, with strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, and a bias for action
- High energy, commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility, and a customer-focused, can-do attitude, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Excellent influencing and communication skills, with commercial and political acumen to manage senior internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to represent VGS and Visa at external events, building Visa’s presence and reputation through speaking engagements and thought leadership
- Comfortable working in a complex, fast-changing, and dynamic environment, adapting to evolving organisational requirements
- Demonstrated commercial growth mindset with a track record of successful deal-making and revenue generation
- Experience working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Passion for payments and experience working with public sector entities is essential
- Strong knowledge of Visa solutions relevant to the client base
