Job Description
Risk Lifecycle Management supports client onboarding activities ensuring that new clients adhere to fundamental risk management measures to safeguard against fraud and mitigate other risks. The Risk Lifecycle Management team also review clients’ activities upon changes to their Visa Licence. The Ecosystem Risk Senior Consultant is the senior subject matter expert for the Risk Lifecycle Management function.
You will be responsible for ensuring our Ecosystem Risk policies, procedures and processes for new clients (and changes in licences) are appropriate from a risk and market perspective. As the senior representative, you will be comfortable engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. You will also be comfortable taking the lead on initiatives and being a role model for others.
You will be supporting new client or licence applications, ensuring that clients meet minimum risk controls via the risk assessment process and providing expertise and consultation on the process for new clients where required.
As Ecosystem Risk Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the following:
Subject Matter Expertise
Providing subject matter expertise relating to ecosystem risk onboarding applications which may involve extensive consultative support for new clients.
Perform risk assessments on client applications seeking issuing and acquiring licenses.
Conducting ecosystem risk desktop reviews directly with clients when identified, establishing client’s business practises, risk management capabilities and operations. Identifying areas for improvement/implementation as required to satisfy the Risk Lifecycle Management onboarding process.
Maintain regular monitoring of new clients, identifying operational, fraud or dispute concerns and working with relevant stakeholders to resolve
Sharing subject matter expertise and guidance as required to enable the business and our clients.
Client Satisfaction and Performance Management
Ensure that all ecosystem risk applications and submissions are reviewed in an efficient manner, with a client focus and with an appropriate control environment. This includes having an audit trail of the review along with management controls ensuring consistency and completeness of the reviews in line with agreed processes.
Manage a diverse set of cross functional and managerial stakeholders, across the Visa organisation and within our clients’ organisations.
Leading governance activities with respect to Onboarding & Risk Lifecycle Management, whether it be assessing internal risk controls, contributing to internal committees or supporting regulatory reporting activities.
Continuous Improvement and Collaboration
Identify operational and strategic opportunities to increase service quality, efficiency or risk management and implement improvements and accordingly, works with leadership teams to effect change.
Leading transformation projects along with pursuing opportunities for continuous improvement, including working closely with Sales, Risk and key enabling teams across Client Services both regionally and globally.
Sharing learnings and knowledge with others, including working closely and collaboratively with the Ecosystem Risk Consultant, and engaging productively with the broader team.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
• Significant experience in the payments (or related) industry, with strong issuing and acquiring knowledge
• Analytical and experienced in managing risk
• Strong, influential presence and negotiation skills
• Excellent consultative, communication and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead change
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
